I had the odg version of this as my first gun and it was a great suppressor host. It ran 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr no problem without changing any springs. Just wasn’t a fan of the trigger, so ended up selling it.

Did your trigger feel like it “broke in” some? Mine was kinda gritty with a weird reset right out of the box, but after a few hundred rounds and dry fires it smoothed out some.

After messing with it a ton, what worked for me was modifying the sear and swapping the striker spring from the green one to the black one. That helped the break be more defined and less mushy, but since then I’ve been spoiled by the apex trigger kit on my m&p. It’s night and day, and unfortunately the APX doesn’t have an affordable trigger kit to get it there.

So for the striker spring assembly look this up “Beretta APX Striker Spring Assembly C8A960” which is the regular black one. The green “competition” version that comes on the apx tactical may have reduced the weight of the trigger pull, but it made the break feel less crisp and defined for me. I even tried a metal one from galloway precision, but that didn’t help either.
As for the sear, someone on reddit mentioned grinding down that metal a bit and that helped with reducing the mushy break. I’ll have to dig up pictures to show you exactly what you need to do, but pm me if you’re interested in trying that.

It's okay. The slide is heavy a hell. The optics cut is not great. The trigger pushes my finger really low in the trigger guard due to the angle of the trigger pin interface. Mags are cheap. Rebate will get you a ton of them.

Man I have a new 941r and I get fte frequently and even one just jammed so hard in the chamber i had to hammer the slide to get it to cut free.
I think it doesn't like lower grains? but in 20 years, my previous 9mm glocks and shields haven't ever even had a misfire. The worries about the new slide is disappointing too. Shoots well but I would absolutely pay for an older one

Don’t know about APX A1, but the original APX has a really heavy trigger pull. I don’t have a gauge , but it’s noticeably the heaviest of any striker-fired pistol I’ve ever handled. And that’s even with the Green striker spring in mine.

Mine has worn in at 4.5 lbs. My Centurion is at 5. My APX A1 triggers are all around 5 to 5.5. some of them may still be breaking in. I love the APX line. I have the green spring in my APX 0 models too. Keep shooting!

If you get one, remove the trigger safety (it gets stuck on reset) and sand the sharp edge on the back of trigger guard as it can cut your finger. I had an APX A1 for several years and it's a good gun for the price; reliable when not too dirty, trigger is mediocre and not great for rapid fire.
