If you are going to do a dedicated suppressor host on a 14.5” there is basically 0 reason to SBR it. Just pin and weld with a muzzle device for the ecosystem you are in and avoid the hassle.

Is this considered a rifle or a pistol? Do I need to SBR it to run a stock on it? I’m confused cause listing says “rifle” in it

So it is not an SBR. Even though it's shorter than 16" because the muzzle device is pinned and welded onto the gun, it takes the overall length of the barrel to 16", making it legally a rifle. You can throw whatever you want on these without having to worry!

Ahh, I did not know that. I am guessing that being welded does mean I cannot throw a suppressor on the gun, without modifying the barrel somehow, thus making the overall length less than 16”?

You can have a gunsmith swap the muzzle device so you can run whatever suppressor you want on the gun; they just have to weld the new muzzle device. We swap out pins and welds all the time at the shop! If you wanted you could SBR and then not need to worry about welding a muzzle device.

Gotcha. The reason I’m asking is because I’m in Virginia, and as you might know our state legislature lost their freaking minds with gun laws so I have to get all these purchases done before 7/1 including any SBR’ing because after the law goes into effect it won’t be legal to SBR anymore. That’s why I’m asking cause every little detail can derail a timeline. You’ve been a tremendous help though!

Sorry, One more question. Is this a “mil-spec” A2 flash hider? I’m seeing there are some suppressor which can go over a “MIL-SPEC A2” flash hider so that could be something I would do. Otherwise I’m seeing it could be too long to work with those specific adapters

It is a MIL-SPEC A2, yes, but if you want I can cut you some kind of deal on a suppressor and muzzle device and have our gunsmiths swap the muzzle device for free before it ships out.
