N+ Bike's team is BAD

On July 30, 2025, I purchased a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1® Team City Edition 400 Electric Bike from this website in mainland China. The order also included a free bicycle helmet.

I used my China Merchants Bank credit card, paying a deposit of 2,900 RMB (paid on July 29) and a final payment of 26,100 RMB, totaling 29,000 RMB. In September of the same year, I received the free helmet. However, on October 15, I was informed that due to changes in Chinese import and export laws, they could not ship the bicycle. Therefore, they initiated a refund process, promising to refund the money to the original payment account within 15 business days. Regarding the helmet, they said I could keep it for free. But what followed was a long wait. After 15 business days, I still hadn't received the refund, so I emailed them again and was told I still had to wait.

Then, in March 2026, I still hadn't received the refund.

I had a very similar experience with them where my refund was dragged out to 7-8 months. Every time I would call they gave me the runaround promising that my refund would be underway soon. What helped in the end was opening a chargeback and fraud investigation with my creditcard/bank. Believe you me, my refund was processed within days.

This behaviour is likely baked into their business model, where they won't refund you till you initiate a chargeback and when you do, they refund immediately. This is sleazy business model imo and I don't recommend that anyone buy stuff from them(bunch of other folks had similar experiences ).
