It is an awb, but list a lot of features that make it an awb. While those features aren’t themselves banned, many places will stop shipping just in case to avoid risk. It looks like you have a MI handguard, but a G$ on an A2 is one of the hottest things I’ve ever seen. Like 3 or 4 years ago there was a post of a gun with a black A2 upper and an ODG Mk4 handguard…I still think about that gun daily and I’m going to put one together soon.
I also saw one earlier this week that was a FDE anodized upper and a DDC G$ handguard. I still have an erection from it.

Yeah, not adding in the sight assembly, port cover, forward assist, etc. is a big miss on their part. The Icon Defense offering is more than an LMT upper, but if you're using your own barrels for an LMT upper then it's about the same $$$ after factoring in $125+ for a d.wilson conversion. Icon Defense does make a non-A2 MLOK & picatinny option at least.
