I have Toyota mr2 Mk3 soft top with no tow bar. My options are severely limited until I can buy a van. I can take the passenger seat out and fit in with a ratchet strap but that's not ideal and looks kinda stupid, and the weather has to be good. My solution, just bought a Saris Bones Ex 3 , rated at 45kg for three bikes, 15kg per bike.

My ebike weighs 24.5kg, take battery out that'll get it down to 20kg, take front wheel off, haven't done the math but has to be at least another 1-2kg. Let's say it is 1.5, take us down to 18.5, maybe go the back wheel as well, that be about 16/17 kg give or take, that pretty much takes us near enough to the per bike weight limit, and I only intend to carry one. I think it might work!
