Anon vindicated my belief that if I my parents didn’t move to the States my life would have been doubly miserable. The quinceñeras and weddings as a kid were tolerable with a DS or sleeping on the chairs because I knew it was just for that evening. Having that culture surrounding me 24/7 would probably have me catatonic and disassociative by age 10.

I seriously think that Latinos bred out the neurotypical introverts and now only the autistic ones are left, which does not vibe well with loud music and flashing lights and alcohol can only carry you so far.
