The 5.7 deal is ok, they have the Fiocchi 40gr target ammo for $62/box of 150rnds. Shipping is 9.99 for 1-10 boxes. They had free shipping on the 5.7 and other ammo last week, which made it a decent deal.
Locally, I’ve seen the same box listed in stores for $72-85.
Lowest I’ve seen in that was like $55/box at PSA, not including shipping.

For a range gun yes. But they break all the time in competition, to an insane degree.
I know a guy who lost a podium slot because his broke for the third time in a row. When I saw him at the last match, his literally broke again (5th time) on the stage while I was ROing.
Another buddy was going to buy my SRO, then got a Defender instead. It died within 300 rounds at the match and he bought my SRO that same day.
Another buddy of mine had his die on a classifier and trash his run.
Vortex will always fix them so it's not a financial risk, but I would never trust my life or a match to one in a million years. All of mine have become top dots on rifles or for plinking guns. Too many options out there to risk it.

Just got the ammo deal from yesterday. No longer free shipping, and tax to NC. Also, they try to add BS shipping protection by default. So, $229.99 + $9.99 shipping + $17.40 tax - $30 AMEX, gets me $0.227/round for 124 grain in a plastic ammo can. Probably not going to be a better deal for ammo in a while.
Finally, HUGE PITA to put in the card. For anyone on a Mac, it will only work with Safari. Both chrome and firefox won't let you click on the part to add your CC number. I even tried creating an account and adding a default card to get around it, it won't let you add it there either. Works without issue on Safari.
