For those not aware....I wasn't either, there seems to be a slow but steady run on all 5.56.
I began watching this ammo last night at 5:14pm. There were 9061 boxes. There are now 7947 as of 1:29pm today.
No Sales Tax, No Cost Per Round / Shipping Scams.

The only runs on ammo right now are artificial and people holding back supply hoping it goes up more so they can cash out on current supply they're sitting on...
I shoot a lot, like 2-3k/rds/mo and train with groups that shoot the same. Nobody in my circle has been buying ammo this year, the "big fish", we're all sitting on big reserves and since it's gone up a few cents we're sitting back and waiting. Talking people that, myself included, was buying 5000rds of 9mm a month, 1500rds+ of 556 when it was 38cpr. You don't hear about every day johns buying cases of 556 today so "where is this run on ammo? who is supposedly buying it all"

I am convinced a lot of companies are just sitting on it in warehouses waiting, throwing it up for too much (.46+ for pmc bronze lol ok) hoping they can use the middle east conflict to justify it but surprise surprise, drones don't take ammo or gunpowder or brass. This won't be a "troops on the ground" conflict, nor massive rioting protests so unlike covid you don't have a surge of people looking to arm themselves that've never owned guns before. Check a big site like Sportsmans Fulfillment and he has over 3500 boxes of M855 Green Tip X-Tac at .46cpr (better price and much better brand btw) - that's $30k in inventory, 70k rounds not moving fast. Hold da line.

Thanks for the heads up on 5.56 being bought up. Nothing like hearing it straight from a guy selling it. I agree this wasn’t a “deal” a couple weeks ago, but we’ve been hearing for a while now that ammo prices are going up and that was before this whole thing with Iran. So all things considered this is well within reasonable prices.

They are on the blacklist for riding price waves when they could have chosen not to, but as far as a business and their operation they are not a scammer and do legitimate business. I understand from both sides though, when they hike the price on standing inventory it’s hard to say they care about the community or customer. On the other hand I remember in 2012 when they and everyone else got shipments like once a month and it would be gone in minutes, so as a business you have to do things to keep the lights on when business slows.

I was able to find M855 for $8.98 a box on Ammo Seek with the shipping cost filter on. That’s about 20% cheaper.
