Nah man you can wait for Bushnell MPED or Athlon Ares ETR deal (owned/shot all three). The Viper is good but it’s older design than the other optics mentioned and they definitely have it beat. It is slightly sharper than a MPED (Ares is sharper than the PST2), but the fact that it gathers and transmits less light is very apparent at higher magnifications or less ideal lighting conditions.
If you have the funds this is a real good deal but it’s not a “put aside all other plans” deal like the pre Xmas Bushnell MPED binos fire sale was.

I have this and a match pro ed, I like Bushnell a little bit more. The vortex gets very blurry at 25x and has to be dialed back to 20x or so to see clearly at 500+ yards.
The Bushnell still has this issue, but you're dialing back from 30x to 25x to clear things up, so comparing the glass at 25x, the difference is more noticeable.

Affirm has ridiculous fees and is the modern equivalent of loan sharking if you don’t pay on time. I understand your logic but the risk of missing a payment and eating fees that greatly exceed the (frankly) minuscule ~4.5% APY interest income you would make on the same money in a high yield savings account.
Additionally, it’s just an easy way to overspend by losing count of how much money you owe to Affirm. Affirm, Klarna, etc. are the most predatory banking practices currently in existence and they exist to effectively trap the less fortunate/well off and/or less thoughtful people in crippling debt. Personally I would never use them for the latter reason alone.
I’d recommend you do the math of the fees for missing a payment, etc from Affirm and then do the math on how much interest income you would make on the decreasing amortized investment of $699 in your HYSA over however many months the Affirm loan is. I suspect you will find the risk/reward ratio is not very good. I just hate to see people even run the risk of getting trapped by Affirm/Klarna/etc.

My view of it is similar to when I use a 0% interest credit card for my business. It’s also set on autopay. I just like to maximize my cash, although you are absolutely correct that I get a measly 4. something percent with my HYSA lol
Moral of the story: I think there’s no harm using Affirm if you are financially intelligent. Horrible if you have 0 discipline.

Mile Plus, 6.5 CM needs between 100-110 MOA at a mile I shoot 6.5 PRC at those distances and it's better but the viper just doesn't have enough.

Remember, half of the available elevation is usually all that’s available without a base with MOA built in.
Half of 70 is 35, that’s about 10 mils (roughly) wich would get a 6.5 out to a thousand (usually 8-9 mils will do) but you don’t want your optic adjusted all the way in elevation, the glass gets sloppy and erector usually is less accurate at the extreme edge

Ah, so a similar issue to the Venom 5-25x I have on my .22lr. I put a 30MOA scope base on my 457 and that took care of most of that issue. I know Area 419 makes a 50MOA as well, but canted scope bases are available for most rifle models if I'm not mistaken.
