I own only two pieces from Faxon - a lightweight bcg and a stainless steel 300blk 7.5" barrel. One of the few vendors that offered a 1:5 twist rate for 300BLK, which was very enticing for me as a 300BLK subsonic enjoyer. Both were beautifully machined, and my Faxon bcg is honestly gorgeous - I really enjoy their logo peeking out from the dust cover in a subtle golden shine
In exploring their goods, it seems like they're a bit more focused on the competitive market in general, however I can't really speak much truth to their duty lines. I think they hit an interesting niche. Their arak-21 line seems unique - if they had a 5.45x39 option I'd be insanely tempted to build out an Arak-21 Faxon AK.
If you're the kind of person that wants something proven, Faxon might be a tougher sell. If you like folks that are willing to explore new ground, Faxon's an interesting pick and I'd recommend them for that. Kinda wish they would make an insanely short 338Arc barrel.
