Why do American sports leagues have more parity than in other countries?

It's funny, American sports leagues are socialist and European sports leagues are capitalist. And of course both are capitalist but I'm talking about the way they operate internally. Let's compare the NFL to the premier League in the UK. The NFL has revenue sharing for TV revenue amongst all 32 teams, there's a salary cap requiring every team to spend the same amount of money on their roster, And there's a draft in which the teams that perform the worst each season get to pick the best players first. In the premier League, the teams don't care If some teams make no money fail, If they drop in and out of the ladder. There are seven Level with promotion and demotion and if you start to perform poorly or don't have the money to keep up you just drop down the ranks and if you're at the bottom your team can just dissolve and stop existing. If an NFL team was on the verge of failure the other owners would force a sale to a different billionaire who could keep it going. in the UK system if a team starts performing well and their player shows that they can perform at a high level, They just get offered a salary that that mid-level team can't possibly compete with and go to a higher level team. in the NFL teams can franchise tag their best players, which does mean that that player has to receive a certain amount of money and will take up more of the salary cap, But they have specific mechanisms to keep players from leaving in free agency. If a franchise tagged player really doesn't want to play for that franchise they can force a trade where that player will still make the same money but the team that traded them will get resources back in exchange, like other players That equal up to the same value plus draft picks. It's two different methods of Game theory. The basic thought experiment of Game theorylooks like this. You have two participants that each have a choice to either defect or cooperate. If both players defect they each receive 1 point. If one player defects and the other cooperates then the defector receives 3 points and the cooperator receives 0. If both players cooperate they each receive 2 points. The way this works out is that if you do this once it's better to be a defector but if you do this a bunch of times it's better if everybody cooperates. What this extrapolates out to is that selfish individuals do better within societies, But societies with more cooperative individuals do better against other societies. So, looking at our two leagues United States has about six times the population as the UK. about half of UK are premier League fans and about a third of the US is NFL fans. so really the ratio is about 30 million to 100 million we'll just call it 3:1 The highest valued premier League team is Manchester United which is worth about half of the highest valued NFL team, the cowboys. With the NFL's teams equal up to being worth about seven times what all of the premier League teams added up are worth. The premier League has to deal with all of the competition from the lower level leagues and other European leagues while the NFL effectively is snuffed out any competition other than just college which works more like how the premier League works but honestly with even less parity. And even then, the United States has laws which prevent NFL from having games on Saturday when college has their games which allows me to exist and be financially healthy. sports is the one way that the United States does socialism and it works really well
