True wide mouth canning funnels?

Since amazon is the most unhelpful website ever, and you can't count on reviews because all funnels can technically fit wide mouth jars 3 hours later I'm here, just wanting a recommendation for a true wide mouth funnel that will not fit on a regular jar.
One would think this isn't much to ask for but no product I've seen clearly gives measurements of the outside of the lower part of the funnel, it would be nice to have a snug fit and not be over $12.
Even the norpro, on amazon is widely regarded as a widemouth funnel is only actually 2 1/4th inches and they hide it. Azure Standard sells it and clearly displays the dimensions! WOW what a hard thing to ask for... Thank you azure.. But a true wide mouth jar is nearly 3, i wont accept anything less than 2 and 3/4ths funnel.
It's hard being a jar enthusiast
Please help lol.

This one is supposed to be 3" diameter...might be too big.

2025 I too would like one. My stuff doesn't go thru quick enough on smaller mouthed funnels.

My wife found one for me today! She found it at a local store, and the brand is rsvp international. This one doesn't fit a regular mouth jar, and the dimensions are in the photo.

Nice, i ordered one on ebay. Its definitely seems like the highest quality item i've seen.

Just found a great option - putting it in my cart now (after hours spent canning Meyer Lemon Marmalade! :)

I know this is an old post, but this is the best funnel that I have found, screws onto the mason jar. Or if you have a 3D printer, let me know I have a file for a good print out one

I love this thing. Bought mine years ago. It's discontinued looks like. Spent all evening searching for an adapter to make it screw onto regular mouth jars as well, but no luck.

I like this one. It fits both size jars: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QT4GMQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't know, I just searched the crap out of it and couldn't find it, and my search capabilities are strong. The jar mouth for wide mouth is 3 3/8 inches, so I was looking for any funnel anywhere that was 3 inches or 3 3/8 inches and couldn't find anything with a spout with those outer dimensions. Seems like all of the "canning jar funnel" are made to also fit a regular sized canning jar. Weird that it would be so hard to find a wide mouth funnel that would fit snug.

exactly lol
FrogFlavor@reddit
Yeah even my piece of crap plastic funnel works fine despite not being a perfect fit.
Maybe stop looking for canning funnels and start just looking for stainless steel funnels or large short funnels or funnels listed by dimensions. Don’t limit your search to just canning specific funnels.

Do you have a local store that sells canning goods? I've got a gem of a country store here and bought a set - one fits standard and the other is wide mouth. .it was maybe 10 bucks for the set.
You might have more luck at that kind of specialty store than online.
They're plastic, which sucks, but fit my openings snugly and have a wide bowl on top.
Eingineering@reddit
I got mine from the dollar store. They fit a wide mouth no problem. 😕

Well, it currently shows as out of stock, but Lehman's has you covered!

Hope this helps.
slowrando@reddit
Are you sure ? The picture looks right, but the text says 2 3/4 OD, which is the same size as a regular canning jar mouth.
BuckABullet@reddit
OP said they wouldn't accept less than 2 3/4". This made the cut and it was priced right. The regular mouth jars have an OD of 2 3/4", but an ID of 2 3/8". A wide mouth jar has an ID of 3".

I use the norpro from amazon with wide mouth jars, and haven't had any issues with it - it fits securely. I use it daily for dairy processing (I store the pasteurized milk in wide mouth half gallon jars), so I'm pouring into the funnel from a 3 gallon double-boiler - it's never had any issues with hands-free pouring. It's also exactly the same dimensions as the Ball brand one I have.
I think it would actually be pretty annoying to have it fit any more snugly, I don't want to be wrestling with my funnel as I move between jars, especially when it's covered with sticky jam just begging to be flung all over the kitchen.

This one screws on the top of the wide mouth jar, that work for you ?

When you find a snug fitting one, post here lol. I have been looking off and on for decades it seems.
My grandmother had a snug fitting metal one when I was a kid, never saw them anywhere as an adult, so I tolerate the one that is commonly sold.
Hers was actually tin I believe...
