Millennials - How do you feel about Bingo?

I went to a Bingo club last night for the first time in about 30 years (Was a child last time and couldnt play) but I had a great night. £5 booklet for a night of games, good catch up in-between, cheap drinks (£3 Guinness, northern england) and you could even buy food. Turns out Bingo is fun to play. Table agreed beforehand that anything won was split - we won nothing lol But, I would love for Millennials to make this a thing. What do you think?

That actually sounds way more fun than people give bingo credit for, especially the social side of everyone rooting for each other and just having ch͏eap drinks and food together. A lot of modern gambling feels isolated now, which is probably why old-school bingo nights still hit differently, even compared to stuff like M͏rQ online.

Can’t say I’m either for or against it. It’s a great song. Has some spelling and learning attached so as a millennial, I still appreciate the extra challenges of the spelling in order to flex the old think-sack.

My first job was in a bingo hall and I straight up refuse to have anything to do with gambling since leaving the job 20 years ago. That should tell you everything you need to know.

No I've tried it. It's not a bad night out but is the chatting and drinking I'm enjoying. The having to check numbers is a pain in the arse.

Used to go with my then girlfriend (now wife), and her Gran. It was alright. Now, Pats prize bingo in Blackpool. There's some bingo I can get behind!

My husband is Xennial and goes to bingo with his mum quite often. I personally find it very stressful. I'm autistic and can't cope with numbers coming at me at speed!

I'm at the absolute oldest end of being a millennial and twenty-odd years ago I agreed to accompany the woman I was seeing at the time to the bingo with her nan, but a few hours before we were due to go her nan dropped dead. So I've never been and I don't know if I ever dare to in case the curse strikes again.

I think, very sadly they've had their day. They always have the look (and feel) of a dated, grimy working mens club. I visited with some friends a few months ago and we were told we were being too loud (we absolutely weren't, and not during the games either). I wouldn't rush back.

In October I went to the local Mecca with a mate coz they gave me and a friend a free game for my bday, I won £267. Before 2020 id go every couple of months, and barely won more than a tenner. I can get confused with numbers and i used to use the max tablets so i didn’t miss any but now you have to pay extra for those so i can find it difficult to keep up depending on the caller.

This is a mixed review, sounds like you've stopped going altogether? Yeah I struggled to keep up with the numbers for the first two games partly because I wasn't used to finding the numbers and partly because the pen I bought was leaking everywhere! Have you concluded you didnt enjoy it I take it? Just not your thing?

Just haven’t had the opportunity to go again and like i said i struggle to keep up sometimes (been told i probably have dyscalcular) and that can make it going from a bit of a laugh with mates to a bit frustrating. I don’t want to have to pay extra for the tablet when that wasn’t the case pre Covid.

Growing up, I used to watch my nana and mum absolutely boss bingo at our Bognor caravan. My bf and I wanted to go along and had plans pre covid but never got round to it and then we had our son. This has made me want to go all over again!

I am glad! I am not sure all bingo halls are the same so maybe look up some reviews if you dont have friends that already go! If I had a choice of going once a month just to switch things up I would haha I hope you go and i hope you enjoy it!

This reads like you work for Mecca and you are trying to drum up business To answer your question though, I've been on a couple caravan holidays and liked doing it there but never done it when I've gone home despite having a bingo hall down the road. Just liked the novelty of it when on holiday even though I did win before

I cant lie, I usually spend my saturdays watching all the football in the afternoon and then gaming/watching movies on the evening, I liked that bingo was a little change from that.
