Granted, I'm no expert, and it could just be something with the batteries themselves, but from what I seen, it's seems like a fair amount of people were topping off the battery frequently (i.e charging their EDC nightly), or storing it with the charging cover on, and that appears to ruin the overall capacity fairly quick.

I have a X, it works fine. It’s gotten wet from rain and dusty from shooting in a desert and it’s still working. I lost the charging cover, not sure how but w/e the dot is still going. I’ll have to order a replacement at some point.
Anyway, the charging cover is probably a gimmick but the dot works.

I've got an X on my glock 40 and it's survived a few hundred or so of Underwood and Double Tap ammo plus another 2-300 rounds of regular 180gr stuff and still holds zero. I've been running the hell out of an SE on my TX22 for competitions and it survived a few bursts with an FRT. I mean I haven't abused them as badly as other people probably will but I'm impressed the X has held up so far.
