Blazer is fine through cans and comps. People on the internet are misinformed and confused because of pistol manufacturers (S&W especially) throwing the "Comp" name on any model with a ported barrel (a ported barrel is NOT a comp). It's not recommended to shoot Blazer from a ported barrel, as the port acts like a cheese grater and shaves part of the jacket off, then the reciprocating slide flings the jacket back at the shooter. This isn't a problem with comps (the projectile doesn't come into contact with the comp) or suppressors (same thing).

Not sure what part of the country you’re in- but my brother who’s active duty had to hunt for one and finally tracked one down locally in Georgia.
Your best bet at getting a first line priced one is checking the Springfield website for dealers within “x” hours of you, and just pick up the phone. Brother finally found one after a dealer called back with a shipment in stock. From what I gathered, it seems Springfield is struggling to keep these in stock as is, and isn’t allocating as many firstline models.

My ap5p feels great in the hand and has been absolutely dead nuts reliable....after I changed out the ejector and extractor to genuine HK parts. It's a common problem on them but it seems like most of the time those two parts and their springs will fix it. If you intend to use it for home defense or kicking in doors there might be an argument for HK. But for range use I'd trust the century just fine.

If you dont mind the looks, because some people absolutely want the asthetic, the ptr having a welded rail makes mounting optics far easier. I have heard of receiver damage and function issues with the various claw optic mounts as they potentially squish the reciever. Also because its not an import they dont have denial blocks like the other do, if you are considering a frt. Fairly minor all things considered, but they are things to be aware of at the very least.

The clones are fine if you don’t want to spend HK money, but know that you may or may not get a good one. Welds could be off or you could end up having to buy genuine HK parts to get it to run correctly.

Fit and finish is better on the SP5. Trigger and reset feel crisper on the SP5. Magazine wobble is nonexistent.
AP5 is still a nice gun. My personal experience is the tolerances aren’t as good and I need a mallet to remove a brace from the back of it. Trigger doesn’t have a clean break or reset. Still very fun guns if it’s a range toy.

Yea, but you have to have a nexus firearms lower and a nexus slip trip to make it function.
The 2 best FRTs/super safeties that don't require tuning or gunsmithing is the Rare Breed FRT-15L3 or the Atrius super selector paired with a Rave Rise 140 trigger.
The Rare Breed is truly drop in ready and has fewer reports of wear or mechanical failure than the Atrius. But it is Rare Breed so you have to be okay with the politics, and you are stuck with a cassette style trigger you can't modify. But it is as reliable as it gets.
These are the two FRTs Nexus Firearms specifically recommends the most over all of the options they have tested thousands of rounds through. I have asked these questions directly on their reddit account.
There is also a YouTuber that ran 6000 rounds in month on FRT without a malfunction using a Rare Breed FRT-15L3 on an AR-15 so it is a pretty reliable set up.

Well nowadays but you gotta remember the MP5 is what, 60 years old now? And still it’s the gold standard. HK really did something right when they introduced the roller delay.
And even then, the kuna’s roller delay isn’t the same as HK’s. There’s not much recoil with the kuna, but the thing is bouncy going back to zero, whereas an MP5 will stay on target

I mean, yeah for $999 it’s very solid. But you’ve got experience with the SP5 which is the king, the ghm9 is also very very good, and I’m not a big fan of the vector but it’s still premium. The kuna is not better than any of those, but it’s also 1/3 the price of HK and B&T so to be fair you can’t expect it to be.

Honestly, having run just about all of them, the MPX-K is probably the best, but it doesn’t have the ultra reliability of the MP5 or the cool factor. I mean you can get an MP5 up to modern standards with accessories but it’s not cheap to do so, an MPX has everything already built in. The timney trigger is also much better than the MP5 trigger

I would say if you're willing to throw money at it to upgrade the rail, charging handle, safety, and gas system it's pretty fun. Certainly better than the Stribog and Kuna I had. I'm very picky with my PCCs and I like the MPX enough now that I've got the gas dialed in that I think I'll SBR it fwiw. The receiver gap still ticks me off though and Sig said it was in spec, but I can read a book through it

I really enjoy my sp9a3 and my friends love shooting it too. However, there’s definitely better stuff out there. Another one you might want to check out is the Zenith ZF9. I believe the roller delayed system in that is much closer to an MP5, but with LRBHO. There not a ton of info yet and I think you can only preorder them atm, but I’m really looking forward to seeing more.

If I were you.. buy this. Then the nexus lower, drop FRT of choice in. It now takes your scorpion mags. SBR the kuna, can the kuna.
In my opinion , the rate of fire with FRT and can on the Kuna is bar none the best available on the market. Few friends have that exact setup, and it’s why I just bought mine last night.

I mean, guns and preference are a heavily personal thing. But the modified and tricked out Kunas I’ve played with are up there for favorite firearm I’ve ever shot. In terms of a civilian “FRTl weapon? Easily the best I’ve ever shot. Target re-acquisition, recoil predictability, rate of fire etc.
If that’s your end goal, like it is for me- I prefer it to tricked out B&Ts I’ve shot, MP5s etc.

Tell me you’ve never fired one for any real amount of rounds… it’s not mp5 soft but it’s still single roller and softer than most pcc systems. I feel it was softer than a cmmg, especially suppressed and outlasted it already.
The mags aren’t even expensive, same cost as Glock mags. Just look it up if you don’t believe me.
I’m not one to defend things often but cmon, at least know what you’re talking about when putting a product down.

Sad to hear it but guns like this are designed around 115-124gr factory ball ammunition. Flat face ammo doesn’t feed well in a lot of guns. I’ve only fired the common weight types out of it but it’s softer than it has any right to be at its price point with those with direct comparison side by side to stuff double to triple its cost.
Side bar, don’t bother with consignment when there’s many avenues to getting it moved privately. The market is saturating quickly with them so unless it’s 2/3 what you paid before tax it’s gonna be a rough sell at a consignment slot.

Banshees also have bolts that can wear out in as little as 1500 rounds. My MkGs will only feed reliably from OEM Glock mags, not PMAGS, and while it's laser accurate, it's one of my guns I regret buying.

My experience with the Kuna has made me love my banshee more. Springfield told me the reason my kuna was failing to feed was because of my federal 147gr flat face ammo. Are Glock OEM mags a bad thing?
Meanwhile my banshee has been perfect as a super safe platform. Probably at 5k rounds at this point. KCI mags work fine. If you have an issue with a CMMG, they will handle it on RMA. Springfield didn’t do crap besides blame my ammo.

Yah it's got a little heavier recoil impulse than the mp5, but I find that the kuna impulse snaps the sights right back on target every shot with little to no user input. The factory mags can be hit or miss but the gun itself just keeps running and running.
