Oh shit I actually have three of these. I fucking hate them, all three are prone to follower dive. I've only ever run them through a 17L, I have at least 200 rounds through each of them, and none of them have gone more than a mag or two without a failure to feed.
My OEM mags have zero issues. Maybe they're great with other glocks and just not the 17L. I got them because I simply like metal mags (my favorite handgun by far is my M9A4) and the extra round would be a bonus. I'll never really trust them at this point though, so they're strictly range mags now.

Yeah zero mag catch issues, although again not exactly a super high round count. Like you said, there's no rough edges to wear down the plastic, and there's plenty of material to the mag catch so that even if it IS very slightly wearing down, I'm not worried at all about it

PSA has 15 rounders for the 43X, made for their clone the Micro dagger. recently the price jumped to $35/mag tho plus their usual tax and shipping. I got a ten pack when it was 10/$300 and they have run fine in my 43x for what it's worth.

The shield arms has a cut out (sharp) where the mag release interfaces where the mec gar has a dip (less sharp) so it is less likely to damage your mag release.

I have 5x of them that I've run through comps and classes, the mags have been perfectly fine from a reliability standpoint, though they did eat through an Agency Arms 6061 aluminum mag release.
When I reached out to mec-gar they said all their testing was with glock oem polymer releases.
How it ate through aluminum but not polymer befuddles me, but I'm not a material sciences guy so maybe someone could make that make sense to me.

Pretty consistently FTF, ive had a mag release on its own, and some of my other homies have had issues as well. Buyer beware and test the shit out of these before stacking a bunch of them. Cost savings not worth it over OEM mags imo.

I have a Glock 17 mag from Mecgar and it’s super solid. People talk about needing to replace the mag release with a metal one but I’ve never had that problem. Plenty of round and reloads through it and my polymer mag release looks fine.

To back this up, the mags feed fine. However, you will notice how easily the mag ejects compared to a polymer mag. The mag catch reliefs are rounded off and the factory plastic catch has a hard time holding on to them as soon as you put any pressure on the release button.
Great for a competitive setting I would assume but I would not use these for duty or self defense with how easily they release.

I haven't tested extensively, and technically my frame isn't a Glock. But I have four of these, two 15 and two 18 rounders. Through my Grit Grips frame I had one of the 18 rounders randomly, not lock back on empty on my first range trip. The 15 rounders worked flawlessly. But on subsequent range trips the affected 18 rounder worked fine. I was using different ammo on subsequent trips so I figured it was ammo related. I still use OEM when I carry, fwiw. I need more rounds through them to be sure, but they seem solid imo.

There have been reports of these falling out of Glocks with worn polymer magazine catches. These are the mags Staccato ships with their HD series, so they’re probably good to go there, but I wouldn’t get them over OEM Glock mags for an actual Glock. They are basically the same price, anyway.
