How much time have you managed to waste today doing nothing?

What are these jobs where people can do basically nothing all day and it doesn't get them caught out? Working in a role where I have to submit timesheets it would be basically impossible for me to get away with that for more than a few days

>What are these jobs where people can do basically nothing all day and it doesn't get them caught out? Read Bullshit Jobs by Dave Graeber. Most jobs do not need to exist.

I do understand that (hell my job only really exists thanks to capitalism, it doesn't add any actual value to society) but since the world is set up that we apparently need to have a job, pointless or not, it would be good to have one where you basically have no workload or responsibility and get paid enough to live.

I’ve been WFH (Wanking from Home) for that long I’ve almost forgotten what it feels like to pretend to work around other people, it must be exhausting!

Today is the last day of my "weekend" so I'm mostly just sitting here stressing about going back to work.

Pretty good, I'm the only person in the office today so don't even need to pretend to be working

I have a friend who works in the same sector as me and we frequently meet for a coffee/lunch and I chalk it down as "networking" or "sector insight". Just got back from a 2 hour lunch with her where we chatted about our holidays, and briefly talked about the shit shows at our workplaces so it's kind of working?

I've got a bit done this morning but I've got all week to do about 8 hours work so no mad rush.

I've mostly been actually working today - currently in a boring call I don't need to be on though, hence why I'm here to answer.

Don't worry it's Wednesday tomorrow you can start winding down for the weekend

Is this going to be another one of those "I lie in bed and have a pint while WFH" threads that's followed by "Why are companies rolling back WFH!?"

No this is for people who don't WFH and actually go to work.
