Hey y’all , Hope everyone is having a great day. I’m moving to Dallas texas soon and was wondering if anybody could recomment or answer some questions for me.
I’m 27M, single and would be working remotely. I’m considering moving to frisco, thinking of signing a lease at bell stonebriar in frsico. Has anybody lived at that apartment complex, and also Would you say frisco is safe or should i consider any alternatives? I mostly like working out at the gym and walkable cities. Any recommendations will be appreciated!

Working remotely in your twenties and choosing Frisco? Idk about that man. What’s drawing you up there?
You’ll find more people your age, more social things to do, and better dating prospects in actual Dallas (Uptown, Lower Greenville, Knox-Henderson, or Bishop Arts if you’re looking for charm).

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Frisco is cool but it’s definitely changing.
FWIW: not sure if you’d need help unloading your belongings but the guys over at Dallas Area Movers. Definitely worth a quote at least. Welcome to Dallas!

If I were you I'd look at Addison. It's a small, young professional type area that's significantly less expensive than Uptown, and is quite well located for getting around the metroplex. There are a few bars, restaurants and a small park that are all walkable, and they have quite a few really good events.

Agreed! Addison would be better than Frisco

Not if your single also depends on race but for the most part you don't want to live in an area like that or the colony etc.

I’m 27F single and live in Frisco and I can say that it’s a very safe area and I really enjoy living here. But I also kinda live a boring life: work, gym, cooking, playing with my cats and sleeping. However I do go out with friends or family and we usually hangout to places 30-45 minutes away from me which I don’t mind doing the drive. The gyms I’ve tried here are good so far, but it’s not a walkable city.

That is a fucking awful place to live as a single person in your twenties. Frisco is almost all families. I’ve try to live closer to Dallas-proper if you can manage.

what suburbs would you recommend?

If it were me I’d be looking at Lower Greenville or Uptown. Life’s too short to spend your 20s in Frisco.

Why would you live in Frisco? If you're looking for walkable - look into Uptown Dallas. Get an apartment on the Katy Trail (such as The Brady Residences) or near the Katy Trail.
Uptown is incredibly walkable and includes sub-hoods like State/Thomas, Knox/Hendersen, West Village, Victory Park.
All these areas are walkable, liveable and are filled with 20-somethings (and 30s). You don't even need a car.
Check out the Katy Trail (tree lined which is key in the summer - always packed with runners, walkers.

Frisco is actually one of the safer suburbs around Dallas and a lot of young professionals are moving there lately. The area around Stonebriar is pretty developed with gyms, restaurants, and shopping. Just keep in mind you’ll probably still need a car for most things.

I live in frisco and love it. Presidium Frisco Square is walkable and they have sooooooo much space for working remote. Love getting out of the apartment with a little change of scenery sometimes lol.

Don’t live in Frisco. Live in Dallas.

What is your budget? Uptown in Dallas is very walkable.

I live in Frisco - it is one of the safest cities in the US. I have never felt unsafe here. We don't really have walkable cities in Texas, the closest thing to that would be to get an apartment in Frisco Square, which they are actively working on making more walkable.
