It’s not the most popular, it’s just confirmation bias on your part. Ford Puma is the most popular new car: Make and model, Number of registrations Ford Puma 6,935 Kia Sportage 6,880 Jaecoo 7 5,505 Vauxhall Corsa 4,237 Nissan Qashqai 4,135 Volkswagen Tiguan 3,804 MINI Hatch 3,593 Nissan Juke 3,590 BYD Seal U 3,358 Volkswagen Golf 3,286

This is not a real question, and this is not a "rant" subreddit.

Most people don't give that much of a shit about how their family car looks. They view it purely as a tool to serve a purpose, which the Juke almost does.

It’s getting harder and harder to find a non-ugly car so you appear to be right but I’m not convinced the Juke is even that good ignoring looks

Most people like square granny hatchback boxes in this country for some reason.

It's was the fifth best selling new car last year (35k vs the Fors Pumas 55k). I think it being around for a long time (2010) means there are a lot on the road and it's styling does stick out and is easily recognisable (unlike a lot of the small SUVs around). I've had a couple as hire cars and hated them.

It's a cheap crossover. It's generally in the 5-10 position of most sold car in the UK each year.

Seem to remember reading something about how it was billed as being cheap to run and economical but actually it has terrible average mpg and isn’t economical at all

You don’t understand why people drive cars as a utility device rather than a fashion statement? If it gets them from point A to point B, why does it matter?

I feel like its been a while since I’ve seen one, but i couldn’t tell you what its been replaced with.

It's seen as practical and cheapish to buy and run. It's not my taste either, but probably easier to get a pushchair and car seat in than a porsche 911.
