RAF Fairford viewing areas & parking

Seeking some advice on where is best to park for the day at RAF Fairford along with the best viewing areas (interested in seeing the B52 and B1s). Done some research and it seems there may be parking restrictions in place, any local advice would be much appreciated.

I have seen people posting pictures of B-1B for days and I am really tempted. I have decided to go tomorrow and I am doing homework too. Very excited!

Have you decided where is best to park yet? I'm also wondering how busy it gets and what is the best time to arrive by. Not sure how likely it is to see the bombers (or if they will still be there) but feels like an opportunity not to be missed

I have no idea and still looking it up tbh. Looks like it's all double yellow and that they are enforced. And I am pretty sure there will be loads of cars trying to park as well!

Hopefully we figure it out. Good luck!

Did you ever figure it out?

After a few hours at other spot we drove 10 mins into Kempsford and parked along the main road where there was no parking restrictions. It's then a 20m walk to the end of the runway but you're set to stay there for as long as you need and no viewing restrictions! No ladder needed! In the very unlikely event you can't find parking on that road, go to Washpool Lane and you can park anywhere along there! Hope that helps and happy to answer anything!

Thank you!!!

I can answer! I went haha a few weeks ago! I arrived at 550am at this location. You will need a ladder to see over the fence here. However there is a completely free area of viewing to the left of the gate and also there's a small viewing hole in the green screening they put up. Plenty of space to park as long as you're sensible. See my next comment for spot number 2!

Thanks for the info. On that last point, I wonder if this includes parking on the road in the villages. Hard to get clear information.
