Leaving US with a Big student loan debt

Hi All,
I have been in US for 12 years and i currently carry a 130000 private Student loan and i have a decent credit of around 700.
I have been current on my student loan payments. I make around 78,000 an year. I though i could become a strategy consultant and make a cool 200000 per year after graduation from my degree. But the plans did not work out. i ended up as a Software developer.
Now i pay around 1200 a month to my student loans. i have been paying from 2011, but the loan has not moved much. i have savings of around 20000 and 401k of around 24000.
I had no plans to leave US, but i am suddenly out of my Immigration status as i got laid off. i have to leave US in 30 days.
I may leave by July 1st. I have no Job in my Home country, not sure when i will find one . I am sure i cant repay considering the conversion factor.
Since i am current, can i just call the private lender and tell them that i am leaving and negotiate for like 20000 dollars. I plan to pay from my savings and cash out my 401K and take the rest with me to support my life at home. if i tell them that i have 20000 in savings and 24000 in 401k will they come after the entire amount.
What would be the best path forward for me. If i just move to my country and stop all contact, will they go after my 401k, in case i dont cash it out.
How soon will they start coming after me. i hope to come back to US may be in like 5-9 years, but that might not be possible considering the current immigration scenario.
Can they send international debt collectors? what would happen if i just take my entire money and leave US.
When does a loan go into a default? how many months after one stop making payments does one go into default?
My private loan is held by on of these new upcoming lenders not the big ones like wells fargo etc

Hi! If you are still active here, I would love to know what happened to you. My story is very similar, the difference is that I live in South America.
