Big fan of the SE and C models but their cover charging models seem to have a lot of problems. Batteries last so long and are so easy to change anyway that I really don't see any benefit to it.
I'm new to Osight's optics, but I'm curious to try them. The C model is $140 with the same coupon, does that seem like a good price? That's pretty close to a "fuck it" price for me lol unless there are better deals out there
Yeah that's a good price. I like mine, been moving it between a few different guns and it's been fine. Don't know how it'll last long term but over about 1k rounds it's held zero and functioned well. Really like the window size and how clear the glass is.
Unrelated, but it's the same way I look at people crying for the lack of "shake awake", like it's such a ground breaking feature and red dots without it are "obsolete".
When red dots without shake awake often have batteries life measured in years, I'll probably be retired and out of the hobby by the time I have replaced 3 batteries, and there will be a completely new red dot technology by the time I am 5 batteries deep, who really cares about shake awake.
Personally I do like shake awake. As someone who likes to keep their dots bright and use the circle-dot the batteries really only last a few months even with the shake awake. It doesnt have any negatives to it so why not?
It's not really that important but none of the optics get anywhere close to advertised battery life at real life settings. A 6 moa holosun using 1632 battery on setting 11 lasted less than 6 months when I tested it.
I had large one with the rechargeable cover and I had to return it. The glass made the things I was looking at blurry. I couldn't concentrate on my target. Is anyone else having this issue with their Osight? I've don't have this issue with two Delta Point Pros.
Can confirm. A friend of mine had one and showed it to me and I was amazed that it was actually a circle. This was also a green dot and some say those are better too
i have an osight c. it's quite nice. i decided not to get the charging hood version for the fact that the gun i put my osight on is one i carry. i think the charging hood is a gimmick but also a welcome one. there is infinite parts for firearms for people who want raw utility, novelty and innovation is good.
