The most normal scientific experiment in Yemen, a guy testing various weapons including AK-47 Type 2, Kar98K, HK G3 and most interestingly a WW2 era soviet made PTRS-41 14.5x114mm Anti-Tank rifle on 30+ rusty saw blades

I can see he's my kind of weird, but what made him settle on rusty sawblades?
lexforseti@reddit
No eye protection, no ear protection and full auto guns. Just as ~~God~~ Allah intended!

Actually, that's not a German Kar98K now that I look at it again, it looks like Yugo M48 rifle
reznov-where-are-you@reddit
that wpuld make sense ive seen quite s few videos of Yemeni tribesmen using m48s in battle against Saudi troops

why yemen? I see yemen in memes like that but what is going on in yemen?
ChevTecGroup@reddit
Maybe he is actually a Yemeni in Yemen?
Able-Row-6426@reddit
if youre talking about me. I am not yemeni in yemen. The guy in video indeed is ig. And why th i did get downvoted for question
MusicallyInhibited@reddit
There's been an ongoing civil war in the country for a little over a decade. And I believe the fighting has really flared up again in the past few months. That's likely why you've heard of Yemen a lot recently.
They're also the second most armed country in the world, so that would explain videos like this one
Able-Row-6426@reddit
thanks

PandorasFlame1@reddit
This guy looks extremely familiar. Is he the one that made the automatic pistol for that guy who shot it into a kinda storage area/wall to show it off? Bad description, I know.
MusicallyInhibited@reddit
Are you talking about this one?
PandorasFlame1@reddit
No, but that is a classic.
Sad-Commission2027@reddit (OP)
Not sure if he is the same one, you are describing, but his whole thing is shooting random objects, like car doors, rocks, wood and tools.
This video is the most interesting due to the PTRS.
PresenceImaginary588@reddit
I'd watch this guy's youtube. That PTRS is a very, VERY cool gun with not many videos of them firing around.
bmbreath@reddit
Why the hell do so many people not use hearing protection? Even some cotton balls in the ears, or anything at all?
PassivelyInvisible@reddit
Lack of knowledge, lack of caring for the future, lack of safety consideration.
He is shooting steel from a short distance without even safety glasses.
bmbreath@reddit
I mean lack of knowledge doesn't explain the complete discomfort from shooting without them. Even if you didn't know about long term damage, guns are loud and hurt the ears immediately
throwawayaccyaboi223@reddit
Even in ww1, with all the artillery around, pretty much only artillery crews used hearing protection in the form of cotton balls. Seemingly it was just accepted that you'd go deaf eventually.

It doesn't seem as loud outside and behind the gun.

i mean...my first couple of deployments i definitely did not wear ear pro. the high speed active ear pro wasnt nearly as popular nor widespread, so communication was a bitch when all you had was foam plugs. i wasnt about do fuck around with it. i mean imagine walking/driving around smoking and joking with your mates then shit pops off, are you gonna stop and put it in? then your team leader yells commands at you, but you cant hear them because...earpro. so you take them out to hear him, then back in to move? oh wait...someone called on the radio and you only have that shitty handset that is barely loud enough as is, you gonna hear that shit with earpro in? so you got to take em out again to talk on the radio...if you even hear the call in the first place. once active ear pro was more prevalent, i definitely invested in a set. being near deaf in combat sucks. having superhuman hearing is the shit tho.
as for the flat range. i mean...most people outside of the usa dont use it. its a very 1st world thing.
GhostAssAssin_1@reddit
not that many uses them outside US specially in yemen, those are considered pampering things
NorthHollywoodMafia@reddit
They prolly don't have that in Yemen.
throwtowardaccount@reddit
If Yemen's toxic masculine culture is anything like Western toxic masculine culture, they might think hearing protection is for little bitches and suffering through the pain of hearing loss is the manly proper thing to do.
braindxxdrat@reddit
Not sure, but everytime I encounter someone making experiments around guns and stuff, I just feel like I need to mention it every time XD
Successful-Elk-6213@reddit
How can you translate a video like that ? I want to know

zjjman1@reddit
No ear pro is one thing but no eye pro while shooting rusty blades at a pretty close distance is an interesting choice.

Seen a couple of videos of this guy. Very fun videos, but his methods of doing those experiments are.. questionable and there is room for improvment, mainly the hearing protection and stuff.
T-wrecks83million-@reddit
His followers will just say it’s not a “content connected injury” anyway.
Carry on with your experiments good Sir and may Allah bless you with many more subscribers. 😂🤷🏽♂️
