Best place to source reliable but affordable AN fuel fittings?

Hello! Working on a project I’m building, and I need about 30+ AN fittings to get it sorted out, but those can add up quickly. 😅 is there a source that you would recommend that is reliable (definitely important) but also somewhat affordable? Thanks!!! 😁

Low expectations, high results.

One thing I always do early on a project car is replace all the fuel lines. Nothing kills a build faster than a fuel leak. I’ve been using EVIL ENERGY braided AN lines on my last few builds and they’ve been solid. The kits come with what you need, and the price is hard to beat.
I’m also running an EVIL ENERGY carburetor on my current setup. I bought it mostly because I was on a budget, but honestly it’s been better than I expected — clean start, decent throttle response, and no leaking so far. For a street build, I don’t mind saving the money instead of paying the brand tax.

I have had a lot of the Evil Energy brought into the shop with the holes drilled wrong, flare angle cut wrong, and fitting surfaces too far off to seal.

👀 good to know

I have some on my own car on some non critical areas and have even noticed it with some of the ones I received.

Last thing I need is a fuel leak, due to the location, it uh, would be catastrophic 💀

Yeah all my fuel fittings are Vibrant and Radium. I did use a hardline inside the cabin and it came from a company in Canada but I can’t remember the name right off. It’s e85 rated and anodized inside and out

Nice 👌🏻

I like https://www.anhosefittings.com
Their prices per piece are a little high, but once you hit the discount thresholds it becomes pretty competitive. The quality feels a bit better than the Evil Energy pieces I’ve used when I needed to buy odd one-off adapters.

I've almost always used https://www.anplumbing.com/ for everything.
I've got AN fittings on my oil lines and fuel lines. Shit you really do not want to fail. I've never had those fittings come loose or even need a retighten on the race car nut/bolt checks.
highwayflyer118@reddit (OP)
I’ll check them out, thanks!

Other people are saying Evil Energy. It's definitely a good recommendation for the money.
What I will add to that is, stick to the same brand when you buy the hose. The fittings themselves have certain size specifications, but the hoses can differ between brands. If you keep the hose and fittings the same brand, you won't have issues.
To add, Summit fittings are also decent. I have a bunch of them on my car and never had issues.

Fascinating, I didn’t know about that. 👀

Hydraulic JIC fittings are AN fittings, without the marketing. But, they're made of steel, if that's a concern.
Evil Energy has a 6AN to 1/2NPT fitting for $9.99 on their website, Surplus Center has the same thing, JIC 6 to 1/2NPT for $3.05.

In the past, I’ve been looking at 8AN, maybe I need to redesign to 6AN. Might be cheaper too. I’ve been considering on using some rubber hose than AN hose, specifically due to the cheapo fuel pumps using 5/16 hose fittings. I haven’t found any cheap low psi fuel pumps that use AN fittings.

Facebook marketplace may be a good source, too. Not sure where you are located, but here is one in the Chicago area. https://www.facebook.com/share/17zjKFf4HM/

Sadly that’s far away from me 😝 but I’ll keep checking marketplace 👀

I've had great luck with Evil Energy stuff. You can get them on Amazon.
They actually have sponsored some of my youtube videos lately. If you buy from their website I can get you 10% off. Not sure if I'm allowed to advertise but you can DM me and I can give you my affiliate code.

++ on Evil. Good stuff well priced. Trustworthy.

I'll second this. I added a fluid heat exchanger and remote mounted my oil filter (and added a coolant filter) with Evil Energy and Derale parts.

Neat!

Earls or evil, both great and I would suggest ordering packages with several

Another vote for Evil Energy. It was pretty easy to work with, and held up for as long as I had my truck.

Amazon and Summit
highwayflyer118@reddit (OP)
I worry a bit about items on Amazon, I’ve been told not to get the cheap Chinese ones 😅
Duncansport@reddit
I've got plenty of evil energy stuff on my own project cars with years under the belt without any issue. Just because it's made in China, doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, we're both likely typing this out on an iPhone being China anyways
highwayflyer118@reddit (OP)
True 😅 are you using them for fuel? :)
Duncansport@reddit
Yes (diesel) as well as transmission and power steering

No-Enthusiasm3579@reddit
I'm in the middle of this, decided to go nicop and bend up individual sections with fittings and flex in-between for fuel and trans cooler, full flexible stainless/nylon braided lines would have been cheaper and way easier but im in too deep now, I'm using performance world fittings
WhyIsIt27@reddit
summit is great but yeah adds up fast when you need 30+. evil energy on amazon is solid for the price, been running their stuff on my oil cooler lines for a while now with no issues. for fuel lines specifically id be a little more careful tho - worth spending more on those since a leak means fire. maybe go summit/earls for fuel and budget stuff for oil and coolant?
highwayflyer118@reddit (OP)
It’s actually entirely for fuel 😅
IamNotTheMama@reddit
Freiburgers says "buy the real stuff", I'm assuming that means spend the money at Summit

I shopped around and landed on Summit Racing for my oil line AN stuff. Can't complain, 4 years later
