SOL Sallimae

Hello All,
I recently found out that the Statute of Limitations for debt in NYS decreased to 3 years. Doss this apply for private student loans? Also, sallimae charged of my debt and sold it to a collection agency does sallimae have anything to do with this collection? Because I know in salliemae’s promissory note it status they wil follow SOL from Utah or your jurisdiction (wherever is longer), but since Salliemae charged off my debt already can collection agency use the sol from UTah. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You

No I was literally a month away I think and mfers sued me. I was so upset. Ended up making a settlement in court.

Yes it was them. My lawyer was able to negotiate low payments at 0%. So i was somewhat happy. Btw I paid salliemae for years before this. So not like I was trying not to pay.
