The 7 is good. The 7s is meh.
I'd just get a romeo 5 or pick one of many holosun options instead of the 7s.

That Sig is nice if you can stretch your budget. I have a 4T pro and like it. I think they also make an FDE romeo 5.
The 510C is kind of meh. It's not bad, just big and heavy for a traditional dot. Looks like a holographic sorta, but then it's still just a red dot.

The 510c is heavy because it's made with durability in mind, everyone wrote it off as "just another holosun" till somebody on youtube shot it with a shotgun and it held zero

For me as long is the dot is no bigger than 2 moa, which this one is, seems to be good with my astigmatism, it’s for sure going to vary person to person for sure.

Eyes vary, but for my astigmatism the 7S isn't any worse than other dots.
I like the 7S quite a lot. I prefer AAA over coin batteries, and I much prefer the dial over buttons. It also includes lense caps which is nice. This is subjective, but I think it looks way cooler than most other dots too.
The only downside I can think of when compared to something like the Romeo 5, is at max brightness there is a bloom effect. To me this has never actually been a problem since it's plenty bright on the other settings.
When my dot failed do to user error (alkaline battery 'sploded), Sig took care of me and let me pay the difference for a full size Romeo 7 instead of a replacement. The full size 7 has also treated me well.

Yeah but some have said that specific red dots perform better for their astigmatism than others. Just got to go to a store / shop where you can look through as many as you can to see what works best for your specific astigmatism.

I’ve had several, no issues. Probably the most solid of the cheap micro dots from my experience. The astigmatism argument is so subjective I’d just ignore it when it comes to red dot vs red dot.

tl;dr only get this if you absolutely must have a CopeM5
these are heavier than the stated weight, about 10oz with a battery in.
Flip caps at this price range is almost unheard of so that's a plus.
haloing effect even at low brightness settings. not a big deal to me personally.
My example had problems with the dot intermittently dying under recoil or even when dry firing. could be easily restored by turning the rheostat but that's obviously unsat. sig warranty required that I remove the optic from its mount to find the serial number. then they could only replace it with a green dot version because reasons. that green dot now lives on an airsoft gun.

From what I understand, there is a halo effect that is hard to explain but if you just google Halo effect on YouTube or people seem to complain about it, which made me not purchase it, I didn’t want to take the chance… from what I understand looking through the optics sometimes you’ll see like a large green halo that’ll obstruct everything because of the laser nobody’s really clear about it and I forgot why but look that up Hope it helped
