Most people on this sub hate e motos but regardless they’re allowed, however the hate is not unwarranted. Surronster is someone who me and many other teens went to for fun videos, and for a while they were. As he gets bigger, and travels more, the hate for him spreads. Now I understand for good reason. On top of him promoting wheelies in the street, reckless riding, and ignoring laws, it sparks that same attitude in most e moto riders. Years ago they’re was no problem, yes they were illegal, but not a real problem. Now they’re so popular and what most kids do with them is so reckless that people hate them all. Specifically surronster. This absolute stand up guy tells some kid to clean a mess, caused with an e bike. He tells the kid that he makes them look bad (lol ik). The kids dad comes and rightfully so is mad at both of them, his kid for being an idiot, but also surronster for telling a minor wha to do as a random guy with a YouTube channel. Dad comes over like a normal concerned father and surronster already starts quivering. Dad asks multiple times who made him do it directing the question towards the son, it wasn’t until the son said who that surronster raised his hand like a little boy waiting to be called on by teachers. He the gets mouthy with the dad because the dads mad at him. For inspiring the youth to do this, he makes the entire bike community bad, not look bad, just quite frankly bad. Then after all this and the dad being normal, he named the YouTube video angry dad vs surronster. First off surronster wasn’t doing anything to stand his grand lol. Second the dad was in the right and surronster wouldn’t just apolgize for what he does.i already knew why people hated him, now i do too.

Woah now let’s not pretend e motos are a ninja 1000cc lmao, they’re not capable of half that nor are they even remotely similar. All I’m saying is make it easy to register, crack down on all the stupid stuff, let us have our fun. Win win for everyone. I think it’s mainly just the fact that a bunch of 13 year olds are riding these and as I grew older I assumed the community would too but nope it just gets younger every year🤣

Even the cheap ones are often the equivalent of gas dirt bikes and should be regulated as such. The are not e-bicycles.

You’re correct, gas and electric are not the same, in operation anyway. There are also many places that I ride my pedal bikes that are multi use trails, where cyclists and hikers share with horseback riders.

Dude I have no idea why your getting downvoted. I think what I would like to see is like a motorcycle class for a new e-moto license. Don’t worry about the bike worry about the rider knowing how not to die just like we do with motorcycles. Leave the bike for another day. Get some education into everyone. No license then impound just like a motorcycle. Then let the rest fix itself, no stupid pedal kits just training and a license. What do you think?

That ride in Australia, the cop was like "you are the queen bee so wherever you go, they'll follow". He goes "uuuh" and takes them on a fuck-up of a ride. He knows or should know he's the queen bee by know and handle that position better IMO. But it's up to him, if he wants to be the poster child for fucking it up (his ride in Italy looked that way) he can but I don't know for how long.

Sorry but I wrote a whole essay because this whole situation just irks the shiy out of me.
Yeah, honestly I'm someone who watches a lot of content like that, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I would even go as far as to say as I'm not innocent myself. I've watched Brian 636 for years, where is 981, like I could care less if you are a POS.... But the way that suronster was just moral grandstanding and trying to tell the dad that he's parenting the kid for him was just wrong and insulting.
Then he goes on to try and claim how the guy is arguing in bad faith, add hominem or whatever, and even went so far as to point out inconsistencies in the Dad's argument... He was clearly more interested in being right then hearing out the dad for what he was trying to say.
I do think that surronster was in the right to get the kid to fix what he did, but to sit there and act like your shit doesn't stink too is just insane. I've seen the videos, I've watched him go 50 60 miles an hour on city streets delivering Uber eats. That is by far more dangerous than some kid vandalizing a dirt path. Wasn't even that bad to be honest, it was just a little tire track, but dude acts like it just completely destroyed the sidewalk lol
The dad just wanted him to understand that he doesn't want someone else parenting his kid and that's completely valid. He wasn't even disrespectful, he just told him he would have rathered the guy came to him instead of publicly humiliating the kid and recording it for his millions of followers to watch.
But surronster is young. That young arrogance is completely natural. I just hope he's intelligent enough to learn from this, and I think he will, but he's got to drop his ego first. And he's also got to realize he's no different than any other stunt rider YouTuber. Yes you can do good for the stun community, but just by inherently being in the community you are part of the problem. I love them as much as the next guy, but huge rideouts, speeding, stunting are all inherently dangerous, and then the e-bike world it's amplified because a lot of e-bike riders are kids that don't know better.
I hope the best for Surronster, and I really do hope that he learns from this. I do enjoy his content, but he's got to stop sniffing his own farts like Kyle's dad from that episode of South Park.

I agree completely with what you said, nobody should be in charge of a minor other than the parent for the most part, but especially not someone like surronster. Hell he’s the reason the kids on an e bike doing that shit in the first place, he brought attention to that location on YouTube. The dad gave a normal ultimatum and all surronster had to do was say I apologize next time I will go to you. Ego took over and he just started saying well whatever point fingers if you want like a sassy little girl. Dudes such a prick, also I watch other ppl on e bikes too, surronster is the only one who’s oblivious to the issues, the rest of them own up to it or just ride normal. Surronsters content isn’t something I enjoy anymore bc I feel like all his videos now are boring. But his old stuff was cool, even when he was breaking laws, I’m not a stickler on shit like that. But to make a career off it then act like he doesn’t hide his face for a reason and pretend everything he does is normal and not illegal is where I really was like wow ur a pussy🤣

as somone who works at a bicycle shop working on bikes and electric bycycles and riding gravel bikes,mountain bikes and e-motos as i have a surron i agree with you 100000%. these bikes years ago were a little secret and with parents getting there 14yo a bike that will easily do 75km is a problem while not 100% surronsters fault he for sure had an impact on it. i got my first e-moto 2 years ago and have made it very clear to anyone i come across to be respectful, do i ride fast on backroads and dirt roads with no traffic sure but there is a time and a place for it, i have seen surronster doing 80mph down a side street with cross walks is so dangerous and doing that while you have 90% teenagers watching is a problem im only 19 and i wouldnt even consider doing that. i also agree that he shouldnt be reaching out to kids telling other peoples kids what to do even though his intent was good i guess.

Ive seen his videos a couple years ago. What was there to like? He basically just did wheelies all over the place. While this may be an admirable skill on some level, there is a place and time, and he clearly didn't have any concept. A ton of people on motorcycles have gotten busted doing high speed videos too. Do what you want, but posting your crimes to Youtube is another level of stupid.

Nah. Surronster came to Australia and provoked a crackdown on e-bikes in NSW. That shit was building but he absolutely made it worse.
He represents a culture in e-bikes and decided to be public figure, so people talk about him.

I honestly could NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE! I had to stop following and supportint his channel for that reason alone. I have a SurRon as well, I'm 36 years old and I bust my ass for my bike dude. These are MOTORCYCLES at the end of the day man and should be treated with respect. Like, you can easily be killed on just a stock one of these. The instant snap of the throttle is unmatched by gas bikes. They're damgerous- almost more in my opinion bcuz they're so silent nobody can hear or see you flying up behind them. I'm always on my horn, fully geared up helmet gloves chest plate etc. every time I even just go to the store on mine man. I still get looked at badly bcuz of it and all the young kids put there doing wheelies in the streets for fun. I respect stunt riders I truly do, it's dangerous and should NOT be done on traffic and shit. There's so much space in this world, can't y'all do it in a closed lot or something? Like seriously tho. It makes us ALL look bad and irresponsible man. My 2 sense anyways.

Don't feel too bad about it dude, everyone gets taken for a ride like this on something, it's a part of growing up to recognise it and grow beyond it so you don't fall for different things in future.
It's natural for you to watch people do shitty things and want to look the other way, especially if it's someone you felt positively about. Maybe they're bad mouthing a friend, or being a bit bigoted, or just behaving badly. "Ah that's what they're like", "ah no one's perfect", etc. It's true, no one is perfect, but to live in a better world we need to think about how what we're doing is hurting people, be honest with ourselves, and do our best to avoid it in future.
If you see someone hurting or pissing people off constantly, and you never see any genuine empathy or change in behaviour from them, that is someone you should run away from as fast as possible.

I’m still not wrong, I didn’t even watch them back then so ur kinda just guessing that too. With that aside ur right too. All I meant by this is it’s grown to be worse than ever before, I remember back when the Sutton were very early coming out and they were a problem sure, but if I had to give a number, I’d say it’s like 1/10th of the riders there are now. Obviously this changes place by place so I apoglize for just calling you wrong, all I mean is you can’t deny this has never been nearly the problem it is now as not only are these kids getting more dangerous, faster, and more of them. But for the first time, most states are cracking down on all electric bikes, this is why I think the outbreak on ppl hating them has surged in the past year or so. If not even earlier, yes it was a problem in 22, it’s much bigger now if that makes sense

This has been a problem with the emoto guys that have videos like "come ride with me at night in LA" or something like that. They jump up on the sidewalks, go down pedestrian areas, do u-turns in the middle of the street, and just generally don't have good riding etiquette.

Yup, he’s my favorite just watched his actual content instead of the rest of that surronster slop, those new e motos look insane and somehow faster than a varg. plus dudes switching to off-road stuff, I wish we could meet in the middle with these things, impound the idiots who do dumb stuff, stop making such excessive laws. I hope it’s easy to register an e bike in Florida. I don’t want the community to die out, just needs a big change
