My full-size on my 300bo RAR shooting subs sounds like a literal air gun. Forget hearing safe, it’s so quiet you’re listening to the whizz of the round more than anything else.
Supers are still loud as hell though. Ask me how I know.

Sure, there's just a ton of different subsonic ammo brands with different grain weights. I got one of these suppressors recently and am currently trying to track down a deal on some subsonic ammo to really give the thing a chance to shine.

Eh brand won’t make much difference for the sound, and I’ve yet to shoot subsonic that didn’t stay subsonic
Though I’ve only shot brand-name ammo. No reloads/remans yet. But like 6 different versions.
200-220g so far. I’ve got some Sub-X 190g fancy hunting/self defense ammo that I haven’t tried yet.
If you’re new to 300bo, you may have feeding issues with standard AR mags when shooting heavy subs. If so, try some 300blk specific mags. I got Lancer 300blk mags and it solved my issues.

The Hyperion is still fantastic. It’s one of the few cans that makes rifle cartridges “hearing comfortable” although I’m sure it’s not truly hearing safes. I run it on a 6.5 Creedmoor and 300 blk.

Need to start reloading for 300BLK, so many different loads you can work up and subs are pretty decently cheap using a pistol powder like H110. I’m loading some nasty 195gr Lehigh Defense Controlled Expansion rounds just for hunting and they are super quiet and hit like a truck.
