i'm a person who doesn't particularly care about appearance, the main thing is smell and taste, appearance won't turn me off, but smell might i think it's delicious
byundatfukshit@reddit
function over fashion
Ddvmeteorist128@reddit
You didnt heat it up like that, right?
yellowbythedozen@reddit (OP)
I course I did. My body doesn’t produce plastics on its own so how else am I expected to bump my plastic numbers up?
UJLBM@reddit
They sell tupperware at the dollar store. You could probably get it even cheaper at Walmart if you buy a big pack of it.
murderbox@reddit
Just toss the bag when you're done. You have to wash Tupperware
DarkLordoftheSmiths@reddit
I mean you could reuse the bags for socks
MY-SECRET-REDDIT@reddit
It'll be too oily to reuse. I usually toss bags like that instead of reusing them to store other things.
sofixa11@reddit
That's why they said socks, not underwear. Oily socks are fun.
GroundbreakingGur745@reddit
And the softness afterwards… 🤌
Emerald_bamboo@reddit
I don’t wanna know
MoonBaseViceSquad@reddit
Or use old socks for bags. Cut out the plastic entirely
thebayisinthearea@reddit
Or, buy Hillshire Farm lunch meat. Consume said lunch meat, receive free tupperware!
PrivatePilot9@reddit
Sure, that dollar store stuff is cheap and all, but he’s looking to up his plastics numbers, not his lead numbers.
zuzg@reddit
A used Tupperware >>>>>> some new off-brand plastic containers.
Given it was used normaly as intented and was produced after 2010, that's when they ditched BPAs
Goldfish_cracker_84@reddit
Bwaahahahahaha take my upvote
I-E-Tazz@reddit
Ew, you can't produce your own plastic, freak!
BeatleMania-Maniac@reddit
JD-Moose@reddit
So are your plastics micros or macros?
Beth_crazypants@reddit
If you get one of those stainless steel insulated soup containers you can heat it up at home before work and dump it in there and it'll stay warm until your lunch break. Then you can have like 2 more minutes of break time to read Reddit posts.
PickleNicks@reddit
🧠
Ddvmeteorist128@reddit
Holy shit, you have a point
BoSknight@reddit
Not mistaken, and don't condone it, but I think most plastic bags are microwave safe. Until the food gets too hot and melts the bag.
fd6270@reddit
Microwave 'safe' means safe for your microwave, not for you.
MoonBaseViceSquad@reddit
Wouldn’t wanna piss THEM off.
doggysmomma420@reddit
Are we not the microwave?
Ddvmeteorist128@reddit
Depends on how small your hands are
Eske159@reddit
Ziplock bags are safe up to 190 fahrenheit, you'd have to seriously fuck up hearing this to have a problem
BoSknight@reddit
I sincerely imagine anything in heating in the microwave has a good chance of getting hotter than that if you don't pay attention. 15 seconds in the bag to knock the chill off something probably not too bad
Rumblarr@reddit
Heat it up? Look at Mr. Richie McRich guy over here with his warm food.
Diplomatic_Gunboats@reddit
Lasagna is one of the foods that is almost as delicious cold as it is warm.
MoonBaseViceSquad@reddit
Yeah if I’m going to adopt this radical lifestyle I’m eating it cold. Just seems like the only way to go unless it’s really bad quality lasagna. Anything half decent should be good cold.
OhYouTalmbout@reddit
Nah hell nah
TappedIn2111@reddit
Just leave it in the sun for a couple hours.
Brailledit@reddit
I leave my lunch in the car until it's time to eat.
another_day_in@reddit

Charred01@reddit
The great thing about lasagna, is one of the mini foods that are better cold than hot
GroundbreakingGur745@reddit

Better than a coworker of mine a couple days ago. He ate a block of Parm for lunch
dancingtosirens@reddit
I see nothing wrong with this
Emerald_bamboo@reddit
You’re in the right subreddit then.
yellowbythedozen@reddit (OP)
Done that before and was judged equally for it as I was this.
kuvazo@reddit
Rightfully
Laticia_1990@reddit
Just slice it up cutely, and put it on a wooden board or plate. It's just charcuterie and cheese boards then
lucky-Dependent126@reddit
I'm down for a chunk of cheddar but Parm??? That's a different level
latingirly01@reddit
I used to have a coworker that would eat a whole rotisserie chicken on his lunch.
RawChickenButt@reddit
I can eat a block of a lot of different cheeses for lunch but a block of Parm might be my last selection.
stopeatingbuttspls@reddit
Never tried it with parm (because it's too expensive) but I used to take bites out of it before I grate it into my food. (Nobody else uses the parm it's fine)
I have done it with brie or camembert before, though, and it often makes me feel sick afterward.
jeffiebb@reddit
Its like $7 a pound at costco.
stopeatingbuttspls@reddit
Not American. Cheese is expensive here.
Dangerous_Treat9043@reddit
Good source of protein
RawChickenButt@reddit
So salty and there are hard cheese with better texture.
Princess_Slagathor@reddit
I'm just imagining him finishing off the rind like a pizza crust. Just grimacing the whole time while pretending to like it.
Manrito@reddit
Princess_Slagathor@reddit
Yes, that's exactly what my brain was doing lmao
patenteapoil@reddit
If you cut the rind into small chunks and put them in the microwave for a little, they puff up into little cheese chips.
Check_Me_Out-Boss@reddit
What?
Why?
I have so many questions, can you please add more context?
vylkai@reddit
Parm has low lactose (for lactose intolerance peeps) and high protein bruh. Usual servings is like 10g protein to 100 cals.
Also eating straight cheese is awesome
HasGreatVocabulary@reddit
The hell parm has 8gram of fat for every 10g of protein you're getting out of it, how can that be good for anyone as lunch
Little-Temperature53@reddit
Low carb life!
cookiedanslesac@reddit
Is your coworker 70ish and living in Padua ?
NimdokBennyandAM@reddit
Aw crap I must be the weird coworker because not only do I see nothing wrong with this, it makes me want a big hunk of parm.

always-wanting-more@reddit
We had a coworker who would bring noodles in a bag sometimes. He said that his wife wouldn't allow him to take and then subsequently lose anymore containers.
radonfromaspoon@reddit
I'm the opposite, preferring my husband takes a container but he loves the bags. Pocket noodles, pocket corn, whatever he's feeling that day eaten from the bag in his pocket
Emerald_bamboo@reddit
Containers take up more space than bags!
always-wanting-more@reddit
He sounds like an efficient fella 🤣
Randir076@reddit
Did he look like this:
A_Lone_Macaron@reddit
He needs to find a new wife or at a minimum buy his own containers for a couple bucks
DescriptionFancy420@reddit
Slob like that's lucky she's willing to keep dead weight around.
always-wanting-more@reddit
He needed to not have like twenty moldy tupperware containers in his back seat. I agree with his wife. If you're not going to be responsible, you're cut off. 😆
notarobot_trustme@reddit
But don’t you know they are allergic to responsibility 😂
SabaSMelaku@reddit
I’m with the wife. My hubby is the reason why I have so many mismatched containers, water bottles, and blender cups.

stormbutton@reddit
My mom was this super Martha Stewart sahm who always made us these beautiful lunches of homemade bread and treats. Every so often my dad would be called upon to make lunch and he did his best but he grew up dirt poor with a huge family. He had no fucking clue so we’d each end up with like a sleeve of crackers, 6 grapes, and maybe an entire unopened can of fruit cocktail.
My dad would have ABSOLUTELY given us gallon sized bags of leftover lasagna and been proud of himself.
ajf8729@reddit
No pickle jar full of milk?

Immediate-Mine-5997@reddit
lol omg your dad sounds like mine 😂 the creativity and "i tried" energy is unmatched. a bag of leftover lasagna would've been a freaking feast ngl
Diplomatic_Gunboats@reddit
That is an amazing sandwich to be fair.
stormbutton@reddit
Oh absolutely, and totally a comfort food for me as an adult. I started making them for my husband when we were dating and now it’s a comfort food for him as well.
But it was SUCH a random lunch sandwich as a kid.
your_mom_is_availabl@reddit
10/10 sandwich if you're a broke but loving parent packing lunches for a whole bunch of kids. I've said it elsewhere but egg + carb + spices feed much of the world.
auhnold@reddit
We have chickens and therefore a lot of eggs. My kids get egg salad sandwiches at least once a week.
spancor@reddit
I make my son these exact sandwiches. We do a little mayo instead of mustard, but he loves mustard. Gonna give it a try. Thank you
stormbutton@reddit
The smidge of mustard cuts through the fat absolutely perfectly.
StoicFable@reddit
I basically lived off fried egg sandwiches during the 08 recession. Had those for lunch and dinner so much. I don't think I could do one leftover though.
stevencastle@reddit
My mom would make me egg sandwiches for lunch pretty often, and I loved them, especially with a runny yolk. Another fave was leftover meat loaf sandwiches.
Available_Pool_9644@reddit

Difference between camping and shittyfoodporn :D..
All those freeze food looks like this, except your probably has much less sodium. And they have a nifty shiny package.
Also to note, ziplock is being sued for microplastics. Save that receipt for the sweet sweet class action lawsuit settlement of .01 cent.

Sure hope you didn't heat it in the plastic bag.

I'm a big fan of pasta type foods in bags. Just seems like it'll taste better.

I was working an industrial job and had time to kill before work, so I went around the block to the grocery store to buy food to grill up quick. For whatever reason I got 2 red snappers. just grilled them whole, ate one and put the other in foil. The reaction to just pulling out an entire fish and eating it cold while the other guys were having microwaved Burger King and stuff was hilarious.

I love your bagged lasagna

So you're the one who left a ziplock bag full of plain spaghetti and a plastic fork in the break room refrigerator that one day! We were all wondering who that was and if they were ok.

I knew a person who would crack eggs and all the omelette ingredients and which them together. Then ladle into some ziplock bags, into a pot of boiling water, and 5 minutes later you’ve got a boiled omelette a la plastique
