Biden was incompetent, but at least he had excuses for when the prices were high during his administration. He came in and had to deal with the after effects of covid. During covid so few people were traveling that they actually shut down refineries. Once people started driving again the supply was low but the demand was high. Trump doesn't have excuses. The high prices during his administration are a direct result of his actions. I'll take incompetence over malevolency any day.

You've never ran a business have you. Smart business people are constantly looking to reduce costs. Upgrading the fleet is one way of doing it. They also run fuel solutions and get deals at fuel stops. No one can plan for a immediate rise in costs but they plan for it over the long term

Last time prices were this low Saudi Arabia was artificially lowering their oil prices to try to squeeze America and Russia out of the oil market. It worked. Lots of drilling and refining stopped in the US. This time Trump made an executive order to make a deal with OPEC to buy more oil from them. Oil field work was drying up weeks before the war started. The OPEC deal worked well in the short term. That’s why prices were coming down. But when prices come down too much American oil companies start losing money, and they shut down production. Expect fuel to be more expensive for a couple years. Same as last time. It takes time to get production back on track. This time it was self inflicted by Trump. Last time was political bullshit to try to bankrupt American and Russian companies. In short… America first or whatever people think they voted for.

No. Think of it like the skin of an apple. Easy to get (even seen as a waste product) so as long as the number of skinless apples needed exceeds the need for peels it's cheap and easy to get The problem now is the demand for apple skins is so high you need to peel more apples that aren't needed for other use or get better at peeling to save more of the peel.

My company buys its fuel directly from Love’s in monthly amounts. Haven’t heard a peep from the company about the fuel costs. Business as usual. Fuel as needed, whenever and wherever. I know the company doesn’t pay pump prices. Kind of nice not giving a fuck about it lol. Hated fuel solutions
