Yes, I know you can find a really good deal on just the heads but, remember this kit includes the full light, a Unity gascap (+/1 $100)& a 7075-T6 aluminum mount.

Good question! Not yet. We've played with a few concepts but haven't finalized anything yet. It's something we're experimenting with.

Also..... The surefire ds00 tailcap has a monopoly on that little niche, and they know they can charge whatever they want for it. It would be a shame if an equivalent tailcap came along and was another option for "always on" with a backup button.

For now, all we have are the regular offset MLOK mount. We have a pic offsett in the works and a few other angles/configurations.
We're hoping to start launching new light products in late 2026.

What makes this light worth so much?

Any fancy rifle light is going to be priced between $200-300. This one comes with a mount and a high-speed tailcap. Whether you buy surefire, arisaka, etc. it’ll all be priced pretty similar.
If you’re a casual like me, you’re just fine with a Streamlight. I have my nice Malkoff/Arisaka/Surefire build but I’m personally never going to notice $200 worth of difference between them

$250 lights, anything made by sure fire, similar alternatives, are all the most disappointing products i’ve ever had my hands on. like a $30 chinesium light i bought a few years back lights up the yard better. no it isn’t going on a rifle ever, lol, but i wish i had access to such cheap blinding power in the weapon light space

Malkoff HTL + 18650 combo from Arisaka a couple months back was a pretty good deal. I just picked it for practicality instead of function, I only keep CR123s so I can stick to one type of battery.
Then I picked the cheapest tailcap, didn’t need a button so I went with the Surefire Z68. Finished it off with a Unity axon and that was my complete build. Pretty simple, bought all sale parts, got a nice compact light for a great price that was exactly what I needed.

Its basically a higher quality SF Scout, it has a $100 Unity cap that accepts USB-C, comes with a charger and has an included mount. Lots of people will actually buy SF lights and then replace the head (the actual light part) with Modlite. In which case you're spending $240+ for a light and then $125+ for a head and not getting the tailcap or anything other than a SF standard mount
