Wtf do you mean, "never receive any criticism"? Having to pay for sex makes you a bona fide loser. If someone found out some other guy in a given group (school, work etc.) goes to hoes, he'd be brutally mocked and bullied to oblivion. Of course, in my experience. There's a word in Ro, "platitor" - payer. And trust me, it's anything but flattering. :)) As for the whores themselves, while I agree nobody in his right mind would ever date a prostitute, I think it's bonkers to say you've no respect for sex workers. i understand what you're saying but my point is, those are societal norms - stigma,peer pressure, criticism, soc inhibitions etc, not religious norms per se. So I'm saying society has muuuch bigger impact on guilt/shame and behavior than religion. As you mentioned, everyone says what will "others" say, not what will God say. Although we can debate on the concept of religion vs faith but that's another story.

At the same time many American "models" also use Slavic, Arab or Asian aliases to present as more exotic. Also the numbers on that site don't really match the map. For Bulgaria the site shows 10 pornstars and the map 0.8 per million which means population of 12.5 milions, double the real one. For Czech Republic - the population should be more than 13 milion for the numbers ro match. For Serbia - 8.75 million. There is only one Bulgarian that is known to be a professional pornstar. She is on the list, but I bet all the others are fake.

Pornography is illegal in Bulgaria. I think we have only 1 official porn movie, and that was filmed in 1991 when things were still anarchic after the fall of communism, and obviously everyone was hyped to finally do things that sounded impossible just a few years ago. There's literally no other official movie filmed here. We don't have the stuff they got in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary and Czech Republic and I'd say we should keep it that way. But yeah, I'd say it's also because we have stronger family values here and a bit more morale. Hungarians and Czech always gave me creepy vibes, for example. And yes, can't imagine to have people filming gross porn on the streets here, like they have over there.

So you would enter an already established market where unless you're in the top earners you are not making money out of it. That's also not the best idea. Remember, to make porn, you need to spend money and the only people willing to spend money are those who know will make money back.
