Moving into my car tonight, where should I park?

I sometimes car camp - a different experience, but these are a few things I do- Lay the back seat flat (hopefully your car does this) to give a decent sleeping space. Until you get curtains, you could try to sleep with as much of you as possible underneath the parcel shelf for darkness and also disguise that there's a person in the car. Use sofa cushions to create a comfortable bed. If you don't have these, then as many blankets as you can. If no sleeping bag or in addition to a sleeping bag, use a double duvet (not a feather one, the ones that maintain their thickness, double it up and sleep between the layers - with the fold towards the side of the car to protect you from the cold. Normal things about keeping warm while camping - wear dry thick socks and a hat. Gloves, thick hoodie/jumper etc if necessary. It will get damp in the car, so be prepared to air it out each morning if you have the windows closed (I prefer this both for safety and noise reduction) Have a pee bottle that you can use in the car - a big one, it's surprising how much the bladder can hold. Maybe an emergency poop bucket or bag, I've not had to do this. And make sure you have fresh water. Just thinking if you are in a spot where you don't feel safe getting out of the car, you can meet any immediate needs inside the car. Until you have window covers, a big bin bag or blanket that you can put round you if you need to pee/poop in the car. Bananas, apples and oranges keep quite well out of the fridge. Best of luck!
