I just need to vent this off, because im pretty sure it wasnt someone here, but god fucking damnit. Theres a young, shep malinois mix that a driver dropped in our yard back in January that comes here everyday (Terrel, TX) and we cant get close to him to help him. I have no idea what to do to help him, animal control knows but they cant get him. He comes and looks for his fucking Dad once a day everyday at the yard then goes and hides. I cant even imagine the thought of bailing on my boy. When I was OTR the amount of pups left at Loves dog parks used to piss me off but this is way fucking worse.

Maybe try contacting some K9 rescues in the area? They may not be able to come get the dog, but may know of someone who could/would?

One time I saw a dog that was obviously left behind at a rest area, just sitting there confused, still makes me swell up with tears as I remember this, such a cruel world

I've got antisocial personality disorder (I'm a psychopath/sociopath in colloquial terms) and even I wouldn't be this heartless. Could I do this and sleep the sleep of babes after? Absolutely. Would I? No. There's a special place in hell for "people" that hurt weaker creatures like this.

Jeez, the nerve of some people. My boy is with me whenever I’m out on the road and when I’m home. I’d never leave him behind unless he’s at home with my family. The lack of compassion and decency for that driver to just leave his dog alone like that is beyond comprehension. I’d call animal control or a local rescue to try and get him into a better situation myself.
