Why are specsavers such a scam?

I've just been in specsavers for 2 hours. They say my vision hasn't changed much and is stable but still need new glasses They gave me 50% off which brought total to £80. Which is still so expensive and near £100 just to see The frames were ridiculously big and I was it's bc that's in style. I have a big face and nose and it made it look smaller but the frames were just huge. I ended up picking the same frames but I still have to pay even tho it's the same one. I'm not sure why they can't just pop the lenses out and put the new ones in? Then they gave me 50% off the the thin and light which was £15. She said do I want to double up on that thin and light and I thought why isn't one enough? That's such a scam. Just make it so that you only have to thin your lenses down once. It was highly annoying as a man at work recently commented on how thick my glasses are... I also had to do a visual field test which I've never done before bc I said I have a few headaches during weekday evenings after work. She made me do it three times and said I kept missing for so I'm either not understanding what I need to do or that my eyes are tired Anyways she booked another appointment to do this field test. It was a bit confusing as she said I should see dots but then another optician I heard say flashes ?? They also said do u want to int update my contacts lens thing and I said I don't wear contacts and would I have to pay. They said yes bc im not on the scheme? I declined and said no bc I don't wear contacts anyway For those who do wear contacts everyday, do you also buy glasses? The reason I don't wear contacts is bc it's have to be either or for me. I'm not paying for both contacts as lenses
