No, but it's a cheap dot that shouldn't go on any rifle where you'd need to rely on shake awake TBH. Pressing a button when you go to the range is perfectly fine when you get a higher quality optic, for a lower price, with better customer service and warranty over The Romeo 5...since shake awake is the only "better" feature SIG has.

If shake awake on a super budget optic makes enough of a difference to disregard the optic quality, warranty, and customer service...that's weird, but you do you friendo. I've never taken a .22 rifle out of my safe and gone "Man I wish I didn't have to press a button to turn this on"

For me, it depends on the weapon it's going on. If that weapon is for self defense, I want shake awake. The last thing I want in a self defense situation is to turn the optic on, or have a dead battery from leaving it on.
If it's a range gun, I don't care.
Warranty and customer service means nothing to me. I never use it.

Got one pretty much for free on a clearance upper from psa and tbh it’s not a bad dot. Glass it clear, holds zero, little tall cuz of that AAA but not egregiously so on the pistol I have it on. All around I’d say this is a pretty good price for it.

I wasn’t dumb enough to buy one I just looked at one in the store. It wasn’t flickering you could just tell moving it around it wasn’t solid red and the refresh rate is noticeable compared to a better red dot. Maybe their display model was bad and the people with the same issue also have bad ones.

Glad im not the only one. I bought one for an AR build I did and the dot looked horrible compared to a holosun ARO I had on another gun I don't use as often. I switched them out and put the vortex on that one. The refresh rate was super harsh comparatively to my eye.

FYI, this comes with a Mount and a Mount shim to do 1/3rd or absolute cowitness. It also comes with one AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium battery. So basically literally everything you could need down to the ideal battery.

I got one of these awhile back and was very disappointed. Flicker/refresh rate is very noticeable and it has a 12hr auto-off that can’t be disabled with no motion activation, so the readily available AA battery is pointless. 50k hours with a 12 hour shutoff is over 4000 cycles, so over 11 years of turning the red dot on once every single day. The AA advantage is gone and all you have a built-in mount and the extra weight.
