I remember all that big motivational talk in school. The future is bright. Opportunities everywhere. Then adulthood hit and it was more like layoffs, recessions, and learning how to be flexible real fast. I feel like Gen X learned to keep expectations low but resilience high. Not bitter. Just practical. Did you feel that gap between what we were promised and what actually showed up?
