I’m watching Mallrats

Back in the early 00s, I visited Eden Prairie Center in Minnesota, the mall where Mallrats was filmed. Unfortunately I no longer have the pictures, but it was really interesting. The mall was being renovated during the time I was there, so there were only a handful of relics remaining that showed it was the same mall. The elevator (which was glass, not white like portrayed in the movie - the production team must have covered the glass with white paper or something similar) and the sort of blue-green arches you can sometimes see in the film were about the only things left. However, there were a ton of construction guys walking around carrying beams and things over their shoulder, which was absolutely hilarious because that's a running visual gag in the movie. If the mall is even still open now, I doubt there's much left of it at all that would remind anyone of Mallrats.
