Is 65k still a huge salary?

Feel the same, on a similar wage the last two years. 10 years ago when I was on £30k I used to think £67k was what people must earn that had detached houses in nice areas and dove nice cars. I don’t feel massively better off than back then, although I don’t worry about money as much as I had to. I’m still in a Victorian terraced house with old single glazed windows in a high-ish poverty area, but managing to save £700 a month now if I’m frugal with spending and if I’m honest because my work is my life as the role demands it I mostly just come home, eat, do a job or two and go to sleep. Still a comfortable existence I’m not saying it ain’t, just not the fairytale jackpot I thought it would be when I was younger and was working hard to get to!
