How often do you think about the importance of your job?

It's a good thought, but there's a negative/critical voice who shows up and ribbits in my head every now and again. It says that if i didn't deliver all this candy to the store, mr. diabetic joe and his morbidly obese wife mrs. Susi, wouldn't have their endless supply of junk food that contributes to their excessive weight gain which is leading to an inevitable early death and worsening health. It's like a drug dealer's dilemma Just to lay out the issue, even though it's inconvenient and probably impractical to consider, but could part of what we do be a willful or ignorant blindess to the agendas of the big companies and disgustingly rich owners who are actively trying to get people addicted to their products? Issue mainly being that these easily abusable and readily accessible products can easily negatively impact the consumers lives, potentially very severely and sometimes unknown to or easily overlooked by the user. - Not to mention our cut being mere pennies on what the big guys make. But to be fair, we don't take on the financial risk, and all the other various stakes of corporate risk, nor do we attend all the seance rituals and illuminati meetings that it takes to run their company, but we do indeed risk our lives often enough out on the road to get their product to where they need to get it. To your point, it wouldn't get there if we wouldn't get it there, but they couldn't do what they do if they couldn't easily replace driving positions by scheming and misleading prospects accept less than what a fair wage would be for a lot of the trucking jobs out there. - So we, or I, have a monetarily incentivized role very removed from the end consumer making it very easy to be inconsiderate of the implications of what we or i do. So while we and i do our job for whatever reasons we or i have, there is no doubt in me and we that what we and me do and what we and me deliver has a positive and active role that fuels the various harmful ways that humans live, and i think that really does matter. I get we're not in control of how people use the product, and it's a product (but also cause) of the world we live in, as well as a principle of freedom that we are actually privileged to benefit from, but a part of me gets really sad and feels defeated when i realize and decide i have to accept these kinds of things. I am part of the supply chain that shovels cookies and crap food into a sad, unhealthy person who finds peace in what is harming or slowly killing them. I supply to these people, as indirect as it is, i feel it matters somewhere. Personally, you could say to me, get a different job, and sure, if i were that puritan i should, but I'm just as complicate, unfortunately so. This is just an exploration of a critical ribbit. I also think it would be hard to make a good living aligned perfectly with doing, contributing, and providing no lane to harm, but i don't doubt it is achievable or at least min-maxable.
