Why do yall take off the ARDs and sell separately?

We send them out as they come in. Some batches have lots of ARD's and some do not. Some have lots of bikini covers and some do not.
We did purchase a bulk lot of new old stock ARD's. These were listed as "surplus" due to them not having packaging. For customers that already have/had an optic it is a great option we are able to offer at a fraction of the cost versus new.

If I hadn't just blown the remainder of my gun budget for this month on a CAT SR A2 and then my model budget on a MG Hyaku Shiki Mechanical core coating, I would be all over this. Also, if I had a nickel for every time someone said I might get special treatment in exchange for a dad joke, I would have 10 cents, which isn't a lot, but it is weird that it happened twice.

Man, you are about to have your mind blown. The original MG Hyaku Shiki came out in 2001 and had a plated finish. It wasn't super detailed, but none of the MGs were at that time. There was a 2.0 released in 2015, which is very detailed with a full inner frame and a matte gold finish. The one I just ordered from P-Bandai is a special version of the 2.0 kit that uses clear armor with plating on the inside. I would guess you have been out of building Gunpla for a few years, so anything that has been released can be viewed here. It isn't an official site, but he has built pretty much every kit that exists. The translations can be a little weird, but you can still figure out what he is saying.

Yeah I recently got back in. Holy shit, the description says they basically PVD'd the inside. The biggest reason I never got the original MG was because the cutoff points would look horrible compared to the plating on the outside. But man, 200$ is a hard price for an MG 1/100, I paid maybe $250 for a PGU RX78...

So in the last 10 years, Bandai has been using more undergates so that you aren't removing nubs on a viewable surface. The regular 2.0 is probably what you want as it has the undergates for its matte gold. It looks very nice.
