Tulsi Gabbard Should Resign If U.S. Wages War On Iran

I have been critical of Tulsi ever since she was confirmed as DNI.
I’ve seen her reverse her positions on Yemen and Venezuela. She stated her support of the airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities last summer on her DNI Twitter page.
There have been reports of Tulsi being excluded from certain meetings such as the strikes on Iran last summer and the ousting of Maduro earlier this year. Her voice has clearly been drowned out by war hawks like Rubio who Tulsi said on Megyn Kelly’s podcast that he should not be in the Trump 2.0 administration.
Tulsi is clearly compromised. If she has any ounce of integrity, she should resign.

Then who will replace her? A war hawk?

😂

Funny question. She’s becoming more hawkish herself
TheGreenBehren@reddit
How do you define “hawk” in practice versus a “dove” in practice?
Her, Hegeseth and Trump repeatedly said they were against the Iraq war. They also said they are not against all wars ever, just the way the Iraq war was based on false pretenses and done to the benefit of Israel.
That is a war-dove position.
But to dismantle the military and do nothing? That is not war dove. That is surrender.
Venezuela and Iran are aiding China. By using a scalpel to decapitate both countries, they are preventing WW3 with China. Isn’t preventing WW3 a de-escalatory war-dove position?
There is a nuance here. It’s not black and white. You need to prepare for war if you want peace.

She’s Director of intelligence in an administration launching numerous military actions on foreign countries. She is a war hawk.
TheGreenBehren@reddit
Intelligence does not create policy. They basically consolidate snitch reports. It’s the White House’s job to create foreign policy. All intel does is tell the truth.
By telling the truth, she is potentially avoiding another Iraq war pretext.
The Venezuela operation was a scalpel. No war. Just in and out. Wether you like everything the administration has done, putting politics aside, the operation was about was war-dove as it gets policy wise.

This is some Olympic level copium

What is the difference?
DocRyan88@reddit
She hasn't spoken out against Trump yet. She's interested in image. She's loyal to Trump more than any principal she previously stated.
TheGreenBehren@reddit
Nobody in his cabinet has. Read the room. They need to blink twice it looks like.
Special_School_5221@reddit
I’d love to hear from the Russian asset herself what she thinks of Trump’s behavior in light of her constant talk of how Dems are always warmongering. I’m sure she has her Putin-esque talking points ready!
No-Guard-7003@reddit
That video announcement from October 2022 springs to mind. 😒

Commenting on Tulsi Gabbard Should Resign If U.S. Wages War On Iran...
KyleButtersy2k@reddit
This isn’t Trump45 it seems.
People don’t leave this administration
EssentIYO@reddit
It's funny how so many people praised her for leaving the dnc because of supposedly corruption and how she made this big sacrifice.... Yet she aligned with the worst and most corrupt president of all time and she's just rolling with it.
Miserable-Bit5939@reddit (OP)
It could be that her DNI position has put some kind of muzzle on her, but it’s not like her to stay silent especially on issues like this
healthisourwealth@reddit
Stop pretending that supporting the Iranian people in their quest for freedom from tyranny is the moral high ground. If you're going to be cowardly, own it.

America, the world Police? Start by getting rid of the crime here. Start with the pedophiles in the White House.

Tulsi, is a politician, who has really disappointed me. She would have been a fantastic Democrat candidate.
And now she is completely tainted.
Confident_Economy_85@reddit
Yes, 100%. I thought she would help bring an era of peace for our country
DonMo999@reddit
Did you just delete your comment?
You said something about perpetual war and how it is welcomed by weapons manufacturers.
Let’s hear it.
Confident_Economy_85@reddit
I did not delete my comment, I bet it was reported and deleted.. I regret absolutely nothing
DonMo999@reddit
Don’t ever apologise for your actual opinions. It won’t get you anything. Try to be less crass maybe in the future though, because being insulting is not that helpful either ;)
DonMo999@reddit
Respect 🫡
DonMo999@reddit
Fair enough.
DonMo999@reddit
Here is something funny. My Apple Watch kept your full comment:
So here it is: “Your continued support for perpetual wars is welcomed by weapons manufacturers almost as much as your lack of a gag reflex”
You sure are something.
DonMo999@reddit
Who would replace her? The obvious choice is to integrate the DNI under the Department of War under Hegseth and the Foreign Office under Rubio. Happy with that? Or perhaps think before you speak.
Confident_Economy_85@reddit
Your continued support for perpetual wars is welcomed by weapons manufacturers almost as much as they enjoy your lack of gag reflexes

If you're critical of Tulsi, get off her sub and go back to the r/politics sub.
DNA98PercentChimp@reddit
That’s not how this work at all….
Small-minded people with issues blindly follow other leaders regardless of what they do. Normal people follow a set of values and look for leaders that also hold those values and enact policies in line with those values.
Many of us came here because Tulsi used to represent the values and policies we held/hold. One of her central ones was “no more regime-change wars”.
If a politician reveals themselves to no longer hold the values that made you support them previously, YOU STOP SUPPORTING THEM!
But that doesn’t mean you aren’t entitled to engage in honest, well-intentioned dialogue and conversation on Reddit about that person. Free speech amirite? We don’t need to create protected little ‘safe spaces for snowflakes’, yeah?

No.
