What are your local urban legends?

- That all the wild parakeets in London and south London are Jimi Hendrix’s. Actually we’ve quite a few theories and myths about them! - there’s a very compelling rumour that hitler wanted to live in a specific building in Balham which is why it survived the bombing - the urban legend/ lore in my particular street is that the rusted bits of metal behind our connected gardens were gated and fences that got bombed during the blitz. We were apparently the only road where the houses survived the bombings. - apprently there used to be a massive outdoor hamster sanctuary behind my garage. Our houses did survive the bombings as some historians (?) came and visited our road to check out our houses and verify. I have no idea about the hamster sanctuary to be perfectly honest but I’m going to pretend it’s true
