Is anyone still making a gas or hybrid "compact minivan" like the Mazda 5?

My partner is driving a 2012(?) Mazda 5 that she loves but is getting long in the tooth. It's discontinued and nothing similar replaced it in Mazda's lineup. Searching on "compact minivan" brings up all sorts of irrelevant results, I don't think this category is really a thing. We saw a Peugeot (of all things) a couple of days ago that looked about the right size and has sliding doors, but when we tried looking on their site, there was no sign of it. Anyone still making anything like this?

BMW 2er Active Tourer and Mercedes-Benz B-Klasse still exists. VW still lists the Touran on their site in many countries, but it's unclear how long they'll keep selling it - this model should be discontinued pretty soon (and is generally pretty bad value compared to the other two). If you want the sliding door feature look for passenger vans like the Nissan Townstar / Renault Kangoo.

Nobody in America wants the cool factor of a minivan with the practicality of a compact car.

Sadly, nothing in the US market. Mazda completely bailed out of minivans a few years back. Europe gets the Peugeot Partner and its badged engineered counterparts, VW has the Caddy. Asian markets still have some selections such as the Toyota Noah and Nissan Serena.
