Curious why WA state is also restricted for these. We don’t have any laws specifically naming FRTs or SS. The only law pertaining to it is the definition of a machine gun which explicitly excludes devices that require multiple presses of the trigger.

I’m quite certain this is a chilling effect from SB 5078, which passed in ‘23.
“The legislature finds that the irresponsible, dangerous, and unlawful business practices by firearms industry members contributes to the illegal use of firearms and not only constitutes a public nuisance as declared in chapter 7.48 RCW, but that the effects of that nuisance exacerbate the public health crisis of gun violence in this state.”

The guy wasn't even charged in VA, he was charged in DC for items he had in his home in DC. Some of his charges were dropped as well. I regularly take a SS to the ranges in NoVA with zero issues

A couple months back some guy who is a DC resident went to Silver Eagle with some type of SS. He couldn't get it to work in his gun so like a idiot he rented a gun and tried to put it into their rental and see if it worked. He was asked to leave after that. Someone ratted on him either from Silver Eagle or in his personal life that is unknown. DC got a warrant and raided him. They found SS and "Ghost gun stuff". Because the headline was "VA" allot of these gutless companies won't ship stuff to us anymore depsite it being legal because they are scared of liability.

In all likelyhood with no modifications, probably not.
I modified mine beforehand, didn't want to risk breaking the lever; it works on mine. The lower's shelves of Rugers are pretty much guaranteed to be high-shelf so it has to be shaved/dremeled back to allow the cam and lever to freely move backwards. The upper also has to be shaved for the lever to have clearance to move when the bcg actuates when firing.
Depending on what specific Ruger 556 model or year you got it, it may likely have an AR15 bcg instead of a M16 cut bcg (you can find out by looking at online comparisons between the two). You will need a M16 cut bcg to make a super safety or frt work due to durability + weight.

I'm using a Spikes lower, and BCM upper/bcg.
I had to replace the BCM gas block with an adjustable one to get it to run well.

It's okay. Used bcm pnt trigger with stainless pins and reduced power springs and good to go. Had to grind down part of the trigger on a harbor freight knife sharpening stone to get it to fit without binding. I've simply ruined too many gun parts with a Dremel and that was my workaround
