I don't have any experience with them, but I just looked around their site and think their main goal is to look like a suppressor (or maybe to be secretly converted to a suppressor).
Our main goal is to have an awesome brake when the shroud is not on, and a functioning brake when the shroud is on, but to direct the concussive blast forward. Our product is the only one where the top ports still function with the shroud in place (to mitigate muzzle rise), and there is still some recoil reduction too. The steel shroud is seamless mechanical tube which is strong enough to be thin and lightweight, but still handle the blast from the side ports of a muzzle brake.
Our product competes more with the Surefire Warden and the Witt Machine SME, or the HuxWrx Blasphemy, that are focused on the function of a muzzle device and then forward blast when you need to (like at an indoor range)... which is different from fake suppressors.
Maybe I'm missing something? Again, if you would like, you could DM me some links if there is something specific to look at so I could give a more informed answer.

Just a side note:
I know this probably doesn't matter to many people, but if you look at our contact us page, we don't hide anything (our full address and phone number is there). Just an FYI, ours is not suppressor compatible like the Huxwrx.
But ours does a better job keeping blast down range because then end of our shroud goes past the brake about 3/4". Ours is also way lighter (our brake and shroud together weigh just a tad more than the Huxwrx shroud alone. Lastly, our brake still functions to reduce muzzle rise even when the shroud is installed because the top ports of the brake still function through the shroud.
Hopefully other people that have used ours can chime in with their own experience.

I’ve used this and the Icarus. The Sparrow does a better job keeping muzzle rise down since the upper gas ports are still exposed. It is also lighter.
I only ended up going with the Rearden for Plan B compatibility - this will go on another upper.
I don’t have anything more scientific than that unfortunately, I am a vibes based decision maker.

Vibes are the only way! Unfortunately my state does not permit me to own SBRs so you’re on your own there.
I will say the gas ports do let a lot of flame and gas out, I had a lot of fouling on my weapon light and visible flames coming up into my field of view during firing - this was on a 14.5 Criterion Core, midlength gas. I’d imagine an 11.5 would put out even more fire.
There is also a difference in noise signature, the Icarus sounds “quieter” because all the blast is directed downrange, as opposed to the Sparrow that lets some gas out of the top and nearer to the shooter. An 11.5 may sound louder to you with this on than another blast forwarded (although of course neither is actually making the report quieter)

We don't list it because with a crush washer you don't really use a torque spec. You crush the washer and let the spring back of the steel do the work of keeping it from vibrating loose.
If you are not using a crush washer (using timing shims instead), then you for sure need a torque wrench and want to get it between 15 and 25 ft lbs (not to exceed 30).
The crush washer will help with the timing or clocking of the muzzle device and also put pressure on the back of the muzzle device to keep it from rotating due to vibration. So, that means that torque is less important, but as long as you do a little more than 1/8 turn on the tightening, the crush washer will hold it at the proper back pressure. Some people say 1/4 turn, but with a new crush washer you can do a bit less than 1/4 turn. Ideally you want a 1/4 turn give or take.
Put some grease (or ant seize) on the threads, then put the crush washer on so that the larger flared side is against the back of the muzzle device, then you hand screw the muzzle device on. Hopefully there is more than 1/8 of a turn but not more than 1/2 of a turn. If it is more than 1/2 turn, you will need to pre-crush the washer, by tightening, then backing off a few times as you near the last 1/4 turn.
Don't crush the whole washer. Only crush it to where the brake is correctly clocked and you had approximately a 1/4 turn to make that happen. As soon as you achieve that, you don't need to go all the way around again.
This video shows a good tip on how to time your muzzle device with alignment rods. You don't need long metal rods... I've even used pencils before.

He does say you need a torque wrench, but many people don't completely agree with that requirement if you are using a new crush washer and do close to a 1/4 turn. Because it is two indicators that may conflict each other. If using a crush washer use the crush to determine the tightness, if using shims, use a torque wrench to determine the tightness.

2/23/26 The Supreme Court rescheduled the conference for Duncan v Bonta 2/27/26 Friday.
Also Gator's Custom Guns v Washington (another magazine case) and Viramontes v Cook County IL (an "AW" semiauto ban case), NAGR v Lamont ("AW" & mag capacity case in CT). This is not good, because all these cases keep getting pushed off and the last time that happened to a 2A case, they ended up eventually denying it.
