Bought this deal a week and a half ago. Gun is fine, surprisingly, but they never shipped it with the optic. I've been emailing them back and forth since then and they're slow to respond and are "Seeing what they can do". They tried claiming my FFL threw it away even though it wasn't on the packing slip. When I asked why it wasn't on the packing slip, they just pretended like I never asked. This place seems shady.

More than $75 more actually. The SAR9 without the junk accessories (the flashlight doesn’t even fit the holster it comes with) often goes down to $179.99. It’s the best regularly-available deal on a starter firearm.

Fair enough. I’d still recommend the RXM at a sub-$350 option though. You really can’t get anything better that’s still good quality at that price unless you can find a smith m2.0/shield or maybe a CZ p10. I’m not a fan of the CZ at all, but it’s still good quality.
I’m not saying the SAR isn’t worth it, it probably is for $180, but if you’re looking to buy your first, I’d go for something with a better warranty that offers better aftermarket and a more reputable company

I have a Sar9x and love it. Easy shooting, very comfortable gun. I bought a combo like that and honestly wish I saved the $50 and put it towards better accessories. The holster is garbage and the light is super cheap. Palmetto has just the pistol for $199

Ive been lurking this sub for probably 8 or more years...
For a first 9mm pistol for around $250, I would recommend :
Ruger Security-9 9mm 4" Bl 15rd 3-dot 3810
It is $217-$250 plus shipping on a few different sites right now.
Ruger seems to focus very hard on making very sturdy firearms.
Ruger also has some of the best customer service ( Taurus is pretty bad. I have no experience with sar, but I highly doubt they compare to ruger)
If I bought the taurus or sar as a first pistol, I feel like I'd probably want to upgrade to something better after a year or two. I'd be fine keeping the security 9 to fill the role of a full size 9mm.

The dots always suck. I think all they’re really good for is deciding if you want a dot or not. If you do, you can usually part ways with them for $50 bucks or so pretty easily.

Sar is better than Taurus in my opinion. Sar has been around over 100 years and has several police and military contracts around the world. Just know this Sar 9 X is a full size gun and hard for edc. They have the same deal for Sar 9 XC which is a bit smaller ( the C stands for Compact and if you see SC it stands for subcompact which is even smaller
