these are very good, used by Aero and CA and others. Schmid is used by many brands like Colt, DD, etc etc. The CA one is refined even more and their 'AST' trigger is better than LaRue, better than LMT and right there with the SSA-E. the break is beyond crisp with excellent wall

update, i was not disappointed. noticeably more stout than a normal DLC Schmid 2S. any weapon system i got going forward that does not have an FRT will mode definitely be getting the CA AST. thanks man, be easy.

I have every geissele trigger, larue, trigger tech, cmc etc and I still am impressed how good just a humble polished Schmid milspec in NP3 is.. that’s all I put on my “duty” stuff

All I run is their single stage basic bitch triggers. I love them. I’m not a trigger snob, but I’m also not an accuracy chaser or a bench shooter.

I recently bought an G$ SD3G and honestly was pretty meh. It didn’t feel that different or better in any way versus my Schmid single stages, which I run in all of my setups.
I do upgrade my own pins and springs so I’m sure that plays in but I thought I’d understand the hype of these $200+ triggers but I don’t.
Thankfully I got it used for 100 beans so no huge loss. I mean it’s not terrible but it’s not 8x the price better.

The SD3G doesnt shine on bench/duty guns, however with comp shooting its an absolutely fantastic trigger. I can really hammer that thing with very little effort. It has a bit of a learning curve, but for standard rifles the SSA or SSAE are better.

Ok so I got one of these to compare to my two Sabr Claw two stage triggers (which come from Schmidt I’m well aware) and I had high hopes of getting something similar for a little cheaper. (Around $80 shipped compared to $98 or so for the claw)
Nope… installed it and the take up felt grrrrrity… break was ok… a pound heavier than the Claw trigger at around 4-3.5 lbs. So gritty in fact I took it back out and polished the outer rim of the bottom of the hammer on 1000 grit wet sand paper. That cleaned it up much much better overall and smoother but still a little tiny few bumps can be felt. I don’t want to keep sanding because I was worried about rounding off the sear lip and plus, I’m well aware it needs time to break in and smooth itself out which I’m not too concerned about.
If you have a basic mil-spec trigger, this would be a good step up into a better two stage trigger.
The downside is, compared to the PSA Claw trigger, or even the Larue, it’s very lacking and not nearly as good.
If you haven’t tried a Sabr Claw trigger, do yourself a favor and try one. I don’t know what extra voodoo magic they do after Schmidt delivers them to PSA or whatever but it’s amazing. Very light and very smooth take up, verrrry crisp and clean break and a light one at that. Easily 3lbs or less.
I’ve felt all the triggers and for the money, the Sabr Claw wins hands down, on not only feel but price too.
Maybe I got a lemon or something so if yours is better then kudos! Mine was not so great and needed some work and clean up to get it to just “ok” level.

It's slightly worse than the Larue, but it's also slightly cheaper.
Depends on how much of a trigger snob you are. I like these, personally.

Agree with this, I have the version of this trigger with the Zev springs and a Larue MBT2S. The Larue is ever so slightly crisper and the break and reset are more tactile.
The actual trigger shoe on the Schmid is better.
