Forgot to update. You are correct. Really nice in terms of operation. Should have bought one or two extra. Prefer it over the Magpul ms1 for functionality. Ms1 is glossier and softer. But the Magpul qd is low profile and doesn’t fit into some sockets

The vast majority of people prefer an integral sewn pad for durability and comfort. You can buy slip-on pads, but they slide and twist. I would put a good cross stitch through at each contact point.
