I inherited one Far Side book that was gifted to my dad from a family friend in the early 90’s. My dad and I read it so much that it’s well worn. I treated myself to the Complete Calvin and Hobbes in the early 2000’s. I still have 3 other well worn paperback volumes that I used my allowance to buy in the early 90’s. I let my granddaughter read those.

I've got the complete C&H too, and the Peanuts Golden Anniversary coffee table book, both were Christmas gifts. Paperbacks I still have from back in the day: a big stack of Garfields my mom would buy me sometimes when I asked at the grocery store, a couple of C&H and Zits collections, and a few small Peanuts, BC and Tumbleweeds. My kids enjoyed them at the appropriate ages, and I see no reason to get rid of them.

In later years I was on Pearls before Swine while it was good and had quite a few Onion books. Our Dumb Century is one of the funniest things I've ever read. My ex girlfriends daughter discovered my stash of books and gradually took them all without my knowledge and I just let it go, I really didn't feel like carting a bunch of heavy boxes when I moved anyway.

Back then, I had a ton of Garfield books. 🧡🖤🧡 I still love Garfield! Calvin & Hobbes and Cathy, too. Bloom County I didn't appreciate until I was older, for some reason.

I had (and still have) all the individual Bloom County and Calvin & Hobbes, (and now the newer complete collections of those), the complete Far Side, complete Peanuts, a ton of Doonesbury, Fox Trot, etc. I borrowed a friend's Garfield books, and a lot of other titles.
